Congrats everyone!
Strangely enough, Wisco had an alum from my current school call me yesterday to talk about Wisco law. However, I (sadly) withdrew about a month ago??

I need a roommate for next year. Grew up in a north Milwaukee suburb and went to college in the South. Thus, don´t know to much about Madison apartments. Please message me if interested.

hey huge favor everyone...
I am doing my research on LSN and would love love love it if you all could update your profiles...esp if you've withdrawn or are attending.
so annoying but it helps those out there still trying to see if there is hope!

Re: Wisconsin 2010 Application Cycle
i know UW doesnt ask for $ for their seat deposits, but wondering if those of you admitted had to give some kind of second assurance that you will be attending as many schools are now looking for their second seat deposit $$.
Also, can anyone run down the deadline dates for me? Ben hearing a lot of stuff and it would be helpful if someone laid everything out!
Thanks!

Re: Wisconsin 2010 Application Cycle
Even though I was only taken off the wait list last week wednesday I was told I had to make my decision by May 19th regarding whether I would attend or not. So I am assuming that is the date for everyone to decide by. Hope that helps ya out!lawcycle2010 wrote:i know UW doesnt ask for $ for their seat deposits, but wondering if those of you admitted had to give some kind of second assurance that you will be attending as many schools are now looking for their second seat deposit $$.

My understanding is that the deadline was April 1st, but could be extended to May 1st if you asked for the extra time to decide.

Did everyone who got off the wait list write a "why wisconsin" AFTER getting wait listed?

Re: Wisconsin 2010 Application Cycle
If you consider writing a "why wisconsin" a LOCI then yes I wrote two of them after I was waitlisted. I also essentially wrote a "why wisconsin" addendum that was sent in with my application... plus I visited twice. I know it sounds excessive but hey it got me in!prelaw10 wrote:Did everyone who got off the wait list write a "why wisconsin" AFTER getting wait listed?

Will I be able to roll up in the middle of June and find a decent house or apartment to rent?
I've heard from friends that about $500 should get you a nice place with roommates? Any housing help or suggestions would be great.

Re: Wisconsin 2010 Application Cycle
I think we started our apartment hunt last year in June, although this year we signed a lease at the end of February. The best advice I can give is this: check Craigslist...a lot. Most of the private landlords post on there, and you're bound to get someone much more attentive than going with a huge rental company.TheClinic wrote:Will I be able to roll up in the middle of June and find a decent house or apartment to rent?

Areas to live: the Vilas Neighborhood, at least 3-4 blocks south of Regent Street (Chandler/Vilas/Drake should be south enough), the Bassett neighborhood and then on the east side--Willy (Williamson) Street.

Someone can I have my spot. I decided to take an option I have other than law school. Best of luck those still on the waitlist and to those that have been accepted.

I called the admissions office and they said the figures weren't 100% finalized but that OOS tuition is 38,080. I didn't ask about in-state or MN reciprocity.superflush wrote:I'm on the WL now. Wow, i can't believe they don't have the set tuition figures yet. That wouldn't be too bad of a jump up though.Regionality wrote: I called the admissions office and they said the figures weren't 100% finalized but that OOS tuition is 38,080. I didn't ask about in-state or MN reciprocity.
