I don't get it, I would think that people with 170+ and a GPA still in the 3.0 range would be practically auto-admit for Fordham. Is this their YP or something/

i think its more or less, they're just waiting to see the entire pool. This year is too different compared to most with so many more people applying...

I was just waitlisted for FT w/ 166/3.4. I really want to go to Fordham, so does anyone know what the best next step is? Should I ask them to consider me for PT, or should I send a LOCI and hope to get off the waitlist? :cry:

I've got similar stats (170/3.0x). Can I haz Mich too? Getting WLed at Fordham doesn't seem to bode well for the higher ranked schools. :cry:

I honestly feel like Fordham just lost its mind, people with these numbers have already been getting into other schools, sometimes T14 schools.

I really think they might have gotten a ton of application EA and then another ton in Nov and feel they need to wait until Jan/Feb to make choices.

WL from EA might be their version of deffered since that is basically what they are doing

I really think they might have gotten a ton of application EA and then another ton in Nov and feel they need to wait until Jan/Feb to make choices.

Not really, Fordham always seems to be tough on low GPA splitters. IIRC they even waitlisted a 180 last cycle (though that may have been YP).

I was just thinking the same things, this is probably their way of deferring all the EA people until they have a better view of the whole picture....seems like it kinda defeats the purpose of EA though....

Hm, since I haven't done this before... What do you usually say in a LOCI? Do you specifically address the fact that you are waitlisted? Is it customary to wait a while before sending one?

Low GPA splitter is just unsafe across the Top 50. It's pretty sweet.

Okay, I get that if you have a low gpa and an LSAT maybe 1 or 2 pts higher than their 75%, then maybe you will get waitlisted...but the 170+? That's kind of ridiculous.

BUT IM STILL COMPLETE and I dont know what that means!
