Maybe now NU will be supportive of allowing students to bring concealed handguns on campus. At least that's the response you would hear if this happened at Texas. An armed society is a polite society?

This is approaching crisis proportions -- lunch was supposed to start 20 minutes ago.

They have finished searching this building, but they're still searching next door. I hear we can now move about the building, but our classroom hasn't received the official word.

Now, I applied for a joint JD-LLM. Does that put me in the JD group or the LLM group? I would assume JD, but I can't decide for sure.

So does a re-update of the complete date at Northwestern mean anything?

Am i going to receive my decision soon?

My compete date has "re-updated" twice (once in December, once in January) for no apparent reason. I was originally complete, with all my application materials received, in mid-November. In my case, neither reupdate was followed up by anything of note.

How can you tell you've gone complete on the status checker?

Since early January, all mine has said is that it received an electronic LSDAS report and it might take some time for a paper report to arrive. It has said the same thing pretty much since I applied a month ago.

just imagine not getting into AJD then being thrown in with the regular decision apps and having to wait all over again. :(

I wish I had enough work experience to do the AJD. It is appealing to me.

It is appealing to me as well (obviously why i applied). Being with more experienced students in law school is a huge draw for me, almost to the point where I dread attending places with a higher number of students coming directly out of undergrad. I've just head so many stories of law school being "high school round 2" and I'm so past that point in my life.

Oh and getting back into the work force again in 2 years is thumbs up.

If there had been a binding ED box on the AJD application I would have checked it. I would absolutely attend, no questions asked, if accepted.

Mine stayed at that for at least 3 weeks before it changed to complete.

My parents are NU alums, so I'm leaning towards them.

I'm kidding. Well, sorta, NU is my number one choice, too. But I'm not going to lie, if I don't get NU but miraculously get UChicago, I'd take it in a heartbeat... emphasize miraculously. Good luck! :)

You are over both medians, but you are from undergrad. They may give you a large scholarship or waitlist you. Good luck.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
