Is Cornell giving basically everyone an interview request, or just borderline applicants? Or potential waitlists?

Not everyone receives an interview request. It’s a good sign, because interviews are required for admission and it means they are going to look at your application. It’s not a guarantee of any admission decision, though; it’s mostly just a neutral next step in the process.thatcandoromg wrote:I got the interview request within literally 2 days after I sent my LSAC report. It feels like they didn't even looked at my application or sth...?

Usually takes 4-5 days after you submit the application.nufmgaiw wrote:Does anybody know when merit based scholarship award details are sent?

Congrats!!!jjs671 wrote:IN!
Thanks so much! And I think that happened on 12/18. It definitely takes a while afterward for some people to hear back after interview received (like myself) so don’t give up hope!LSATuration wrote:Congrats!!!jjs671 wrote:IN!
If you don't mind--when did you go "interview received"?
Don't know how long it typically stays at interview requested but I submitted my interview on 12/12 and hasn't changed to interview received. Makes me very unsettled. I sent them an email last week just to make sure there hadn't been a technological glitch and they didn't respond...Mma038 wrote:I submitted my interview 1/12. My status checker still says interview requested. Does anyone know how long it takes to change to interview received?
Oh okay. Yeah that was what I was worried about as well, because some people in previous threads got really quick turnarounds.EnglishApplicant2017 wrote:Don't know how long it typically stays at interview requested but I submitted my interview on 12/12 and hasn't changed to interview received. I’m sure they’ll match if you show them your Michigan offer, or were you hoping for an offer higher than Michigan?InterLaw wrote:Just got my scholarship email... Less than I expected, way less than what I already have from Michigan... :/
Well I was "hoping" for it but it would have been a surprise... I would have expected something around that amount however, but it's 45k lower. I agree on the fact that I can probably negotiate something tho!Mma038 wrote:I’m sure they’ll match if you show them your Michigan offer, or were you hoping for an offer higher than Michigan?InterLaw wrote:Just got my scholarship email... Oh okay thanks! Did you go UR2 then interview request? I went complete 1/3 and then interview request 1/12. I’m almost certain I didn’t go UR2. The quick turnaround is making nervous.principalagent wrote:Mine went back to “Ready for Review” I believe.Mma038 wrote:Is interview received the final status before a decision?
It might be! When did you go “interview received”?nosurprises23 wrote:I changed to "Application Review is Complete" 1/17
