I think, but no clue how long these last. I mean, it can't be that long right? I'm giving it another 30 min before getting back to work haha38981928 wrote:It's only been around an hour or so right?april_ludgate wrote:So you think it's over?JS2hopeful wrote:Wow. I'm in the same boat but I'm counting 5 confirmed JS2s and just as many first round interviewees who've heard nothing. HLS perhaps being more conservative with this first wave than usual in light of recent data showing our class may turn out to be unusually competitiveJS2hopeful wrote:Wow. And, of course, a major congratulations to those of you that did get the call!

Was everyone that got JS2 today a first round JS1? I think I was in the third or fourth round so probably not reasonable for me to expect anything this fast

Just looked through last year's and it the number of confirmed JS2s on the first JS2 wave is similar.14141453 wrote:I'm in the same boat but I'm counting 5 confirmed JS2s and just as many first round interviewees who've heard nothing. Any international applicants/people living abroad receive JS2s via email yet?

Is it too early to start asking when we expect the next wave to be?

My guess would be 1/24 based on last year, seems like most of the waves after the first are on a Wednesday.JS2hopeful wrote:Is it too early to start asking when we expect the next wave to be?

tbh that was a little anticlimactic I definitely expected more people to post about JS2s...smaller wave then normal I guess.
Anyways. As someone who didn't get a JS2 yet I know it sucks but lets be real, lots of waves left to come. I'm sure we'll all hear eventually.

When are JS2 emails sent? Not quite sure I'll believe it until it's in writing.

Any K-JD's get JS2? It'd make sense for decisions to be postponed until after fall grades, but just making sure

this law school ain't big enough for the two of us.Slippin' Jimmy wrote:No JS1 yet but my GPA went from 3.82 to 3.85 after this semester. Probably won't matter much since I'm still just below median GPA but I'm holding out hope that this puts me marginally ahead of some other candidates lol.

I don't know if I imagined it or I actually read it here somewhere (can't seem to find again), but is it true that HLS gave/is giving out more JS1s this year than previous years, so the acceptance rate for JS1s is much lower now than before? Also, with the increase in apps, what is the comparable year for LSN? Trying to manage my expectations lololol

Re: Harvard Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
You're reading too much into it. There's no evidence of more JS1's, and no evidence their admissions practices have changed a lot. This cycle will probably be roughly on par with 2012-2013, which were great cycles for applicants.38981928 wrote:I don't know if I imagined it or I actually read it here somewhere (can't seem to find again), but is it true that HLS gave/is giving out more JS1s this year than previous years, so the acceptance rate for JS1s is much lower now than before? I know we're all freaking out (trust me, I was really hoping for a JS2 call) but it's only December. Go take a look at the LSN Jan/Feb acceptances vs. December and you'll calm down.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
