yeah, looking at numbers of other people who got in, this is really weird - like the GPA isn't stellar, but I really didn't think it would hurt me this much?njdevils327 wrote:Same numbers obviously like we talked about before and also waitlisted. Offered a spot on the waitlist, turned it down and withdrew my application. 3.5/165. Somewhat surprised based on LSN, but I saw it coming after being under review since 1/9.

This really, really sucks. This was supposed to be the fairly affordable southern california option for me. Now I didn't even get in.

I was literally like - USC will be my safety with money, and I'm a California resident so they know I want to go there. Now I'm personally offendednjdevils327 wrote:This really, really sucks. This was supposed to be the fairly affordable southern california option for me. Now I didn't even get in.

I'm serious. Is it a GPA thing? My safties became my regulars, regulars became waitlists, and reaches haven't even gotten back.imtca wrote:They're choosing their final classes Hunger Games style apparentlyshotgunheist wrote:what the fuck is going on this cycle

Honestly, I'm gonna say its a GPA thing, because my GPA isn't like horrifically low but for most schools I applied to I've gotten 7 waitlists, and of my 3 acceptances, one was surprising in comparison to the rest of my cycle and the other two were extreme safeties - but my LSAT was on par for most of the schoolsshotgunheist wrote:I'm serious. I have also been waitlisted, looks like a lot of us with good LSATs but average GPAs were pushed aside. 166 3.67. I was definitely surprised...

The LSAC site told me I had an 80-100 percent chance at USC. This is such BS

Do you think this is their way of trying to skip out on giving merit aid, by admitting people who by all accounts should get merit aid after waitlisting them, just so they don't have to pay them?

3.6x/167-168 has a ~90% admit rate over the past 5 cycles on LSN, so there's definitely something off about this cycle.njdevils327 wrote:The LSAC site told me I had an 80-100 percent chance at USC. This is such BS
