In today! The wait was worth it. Super stoked!
Edit: I was admitted via phone so obviously not a lot of info given like an email. Do I have to fill anything special out for scholarship consideration/email anyone like cornell/georgetown require?

Unless something has changed, I believe that the first deposit of $200 cannot be done by using a VISA credit card. So if you're waiting until the last minute to deposit, factor that into your plans (pretty sure they take AmEx and MasterCard though?).

Speaking of which, this is the perfect time to get a new credit card to collect on some awesome promotions. Use it for school visits, and you keep the points even after you get reimbursed. The start of law school also has a lot of necessary purchases that will let you rack up points quickly.

There are several cards with $0 annual fee that will give $100 cash back if you spend $500 in the first 3 months. You'll easily spend that much for new apartment essentials, casebooks, etc.

Yeah, UT has been on a weird anti-Visa kick since I was in grad school which was a long time ago.

I got waitlisted about 2 months ago and didn't respond to the email because it said that with no response I would be taken off the waitlist. You can imagine my surprise when I got an acceptance email this week!

Yeah how do we find out about the admitted students weekend? Is it really next week? I couldn't find any information about it on the website (I'm probably just not trying hard enough). I was also just admitted via voicemail! Submitted early Jan.pmcd88 wrote:In via voicemail!!!! Can someone give me the details and arrangements of admitted students weekend? I want to go but it is a week away and I don't have any idea of the logistics

Well congrats to all you new admits, also congrats to those already being pulled from the wait-list. Something weird is going on in Austin this year(not necessarily bad but weird compared to past cycles)
Anyways I wish you all luck as future Longhorns! Wish I was joining you!

We’d like to invite you to Texas Law’s Optional Mini Visit (OMV) on Friday, April 1st.
The OMV is a half-day program featuring a mock class, a panel presentation on careers, a luncheon hosted by Texas Law faculty, and opportunities to sit in on panels showcasing some of the law school’s curricular offerings. We hope you come and visit with Texas Law’s community and your future classmates.
Please register for the events HERE. (https://law.utexas.edu/admissions/fresh ... istration/)
We are proud to have such a distinguished group of admitted students on the path to becoming members of the Texas Law Class of 2019!
