I think a casual yet business appropriate dress would be perfect! Im wearing black jeans to mine (in cold weather) and I think the general consensus is that you can wear what you want within reason.skyhigh4760 wrote:Hey ladies - I am going to USC admitted students day this Friday - what the heck should I wear? Agreed. I went to an event in January - definitely make sure you have a comfortable outfit for walking around in. My experience was you moved around a lot - to various classrooms, tours, locations on campus, etc. Most people were business professional (nice jeans/khakis/pants and nice shirts) - very few suits, but the ones that did stand out where the WAY casual folks. My work environment is pretty business casual, so I just wore what I'd wear to work.texasellewoods wrote:I think a casual yet business appropriate dress would be perfect! That could work. I was either going to suggest drinks after one night depending on when stuff ends, or possibly sometime today for those of us who are here since today is pretty flexible (for me at least).schocolate wrote:Do you want to try meeting during one of the events/dinner tomorrow?Hildegard15 wrote:I just got in too! Ha, re: sizing I just ordered 3 pairs and prayed I wouldn't forget to return 2 (I did, they're sitting in my living room, thanks for the reminder). As for snow -- you can layer with thick socks; I have another pair of Sorels from last year's demon winter (I'm in Boston) with fleece inside, but the fleece got grody pretty fast and turned the colors of my pants. I prefer these ones -- you can always get a size up and add the little fleece boot inserts if you want! That way you can wear them in summer too without boiling alive.texasellewoods wrote:I was looking at those too!! I'm about to get on my flight to NYC! I'm free all day tomorrow (Columbia held me after I booked this whoops) and I'm here through Friday for NYU, so if anyone wants to shop/get lunch/coffee let me know!!
I'll just be checking out the nail salon scene around NYU to teach the locals how to bend and snap

Do people want to try to meet for drinks post tomorrow's CLS event? (Including those who are just attending NYU days).schocolate wrote:I could do drinks tomorrow night, but I'm out for anything today.jtg21 wrote:That could work. I bought this to wear to a reception the first night of Vandy's ASW. It's difficult to tell, but the dress is navy. I'm not sure how tall the girl in the photo is, but it isn't nearly that short on me. (It's maybe 2" above the knee - at most).

Is this ok? I really liked it in the dressing room, but now that I see it on the model, I'm wondering if it's appropriate. (Is the v too low in the back? Is sleeveless ok?) I'm going to wear conservative pumps with it, and maybe pearls? It looks so different on the model. Now I'm afraid I was just seeing what I wanted to see because I could afford it!
The second day (for the tour, mock class, etc...) I'm wearing pants and flats
- much easier.

As long as it's not as short as it is on the model, you're set! I think it looks really nice. Have fun at the ASW!Scalvert wrote:I bought this to wear to a reception the first night of Vandy's ASW. Thanks! I feel better now.
It's not that short on me. I'm 5'5" and I figure the model is 5'9" at least. It's also looks much shorter in black than it does in navy for some reason.

Hey ladies! For those of you going to CLS's admitted students day tomorrow, what time are you arriving? Maybe it's just me, but the schedule seemed ambiguous as to what time we need to be there

I think breakfast is from 9-9:50, and the first event starts at 9:50.lemondrop wrote:Hey ladies! For those of you going to CLS's admitted students day tomorrow, what time are you arriving? Maybe it's just me, but the schedule seemed ambiguous as to what time we need to be there

I'm planning on getting there close to 9, maybe a little bit after. Doesn't look like there's anything you absolutely need to be present for until 9:50.lemondrop wrote:Hey ladies! What do you all wear when you visit a law school and sit it on a class? Not as a part of an ASW, but to get off the waitlist?
