Has anyone gone to any of the receptions? Or is planning on going to one?

I'm planning on going to USC Law Day on 4/10. I'm not sure why given that they haven't offered me enough money to make them a viable option for me, but maybe when they meet me in person they'll be smitten and offer me more money.LawsRUs wrote:Has anyone gone to any of the receptions? Was approved for a travel stipend late last week (after people had posted that they were told stipends had run out), but found out today I'm unable to attend for work reasons. Withdrew my name from the travel stipend list, so hopefully this will free it up for one of you!

How do we request a travel stipend? Just email AO, or is there a separate form?

I believe there was a link in an event promotion email to a form online to request one. You may also be able to straight up email the office and see, worst case they can link you to it. For what it's worth, you have to get it approved, and from what I can tell, many people do not.LawsRUs wrote:How do we request a travel stipend? Just email AO, or is there a separate form?

I got my travel stipend last week as well. You applied via the student checklist on the admitted students portal, but that link disappeared. I asked in the facebook group, because an email to the woman who is supposedly in charge of the program didn't get a response. I still had to fork over $92 though since we're getting so close and I'm flying out of Philly.

AO said that they are no longer having the travel assistance program.
Someone has had success with a scholarship increase.

That forum is meant for people who are 100% committed or very close to that. Not many are this early.

Just a forum for admitted students. Doesn't mean you are close to committing or not.HalfStudent wrote:LawsRUs wrote:AO said that they are no longer having the travel assistance program.![]()

Rothman is the only full scholarship they give out that I know as of now. Have no idea who got it but I assume someone has accepted it by now.mec896 wrote:Anybody have luck with negotiating scholarships or get a full tuition scholly right off the bat?

Also coming from east coast, admitted end of Jan I think Jan 30, applied for stipend within 48 hours of being able to (I think was first week of Feb, like Feb 6), never heard a word.
In addition, I just received my USC Law t-shirt in the mail and the cotton is not as thick as I would have expected for a t-20 institution.

Re: USC c/o 2018 Applicants Thread (2014-2015)
Someone earlier mentioned they were out of money for travel. It was mentioned they received an unusually high amount of requests which is not a surprise considering they didn't charge the fee for the applications.. However how can they not have enough money for travel for the rest? Manywon't consider the school if they can't make it for ASW.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
