The impression I'm getting from TLS is no. I guess it can't hurt to try, but it seems like they discontinued the practice of negotiating scholarships.Dipper wrote:Does Vanderbilt negotiate scholarships?

So, if they were telling the truth and scholarship packages really did start going out on Monday, some people should probably start receiving them today (depending on geographic location), right? Please update us!

Ok this is actually starting to get ridiculous..
They had a completed app since 1/15 and I haven't heard back from them at all. Customary? We're getting close to the full 12 weeks...

and now we wait. What I'm wondering is how many waves do they need to send out? There's under 200 admitted students usually. Seems like they could knock that out in a day or two. Of course, thats working under the assumption they only start sending them out when they finish figuring everyones money situation.idissent wrote:FYI, just got my mail in Texas, no scholarship stuff.

there are way over 200 admitted students, but the matriculation rate is a lot lower.fa1493 wrote:and now we wait. What I'm wondering is how many waves do they need to send out? Vandy usually accepts about 1000 people. 180 or so matriculate. So I think it's probably quite complex.

^^ to the numbers. And, according to people who have been in contact with the office, there were batches Friday or Monday, Tuesday, and then there will be one by the end of the week. I figure the money situation is sorted, it's just a logistics/administrative thing? If they're still bogged down with getting through applications (and it seems like they are), then they may have more people on apps than mailings.fa1493 wrote:and now we wait. Re: Vanderbilt c/o 2018 applicants
My status changed to "decision mailed" on Friday, but still have not received anything.
Would it be appropriate to call and make sure it was sent to the right address/ if they can tell me my decision over the phone?
Thank you

I doubt they will tell you over the phone, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask about the address. I would wait until it has been at least one week since your status change though.

They won't tell you over the phone, and it was sent to the address that's listed in your Status Checker. You should call FedEx (or use FedEx Manager) and ask if there's a package coming your way (doesn't always work), but it's 2 day delivery so you could just wait.refugeelawyer26 wrote:My status changed to "decision mailed" on Friday, but still have not received anything.

This competition inevitably happens once per page on this thread, but it still makes me feel better that I'm not alone in this wait.JTIII wrote:I went complete in October guys.
