Email them. That's what I did when I was in the first wave of admin dings. They fixed it, apologized, and accepted me a few weeks later. They were really professional about it.LaraCroftEsq wrote:So I got my WL email about 2 hours ago and yet just got confirmation that they received my Why Texas? statement and it's been added to my file. Should I just assume that the decision was made with my Why Texas? on file or does this sound like another administrative error?

Sounds like the latter. I trust your Why Tx was submitted by the deadline given.LaraCroftEsq wrote:So I got my WL email about 2 hours ago and yet just got confirmation that they received my Why Texas? statement and it's been added to my file. Re: University of Texas C/O 18 Applicants
Just got a reply from the Dean. Super helpful. The Why Texas? becomes available to them as soon as it's sent. So even though I got the confirmation of receipt this morning, they reviewed it yesterday and made their decision before it was administratively added to my file.

For everyone getting wait listed: what are your stats if you don't mind my asking! I am still waiting for a decision and am curious to know where I think I stand. I'm assuming I will be WL as well!

Waitlisted! Any advice? Should I send a LOCI, visit the campus, update my resume?

Just a PSA: if you're a 0L who decides to sit in on a class, don't answer questions. Every student will be making fun of you after and we don't care what you have to say. I often think my classmates don't have valuable insight, let alone someone who hasn't been in class or read the material. You'll have plenty of time to gun when you're a 1L.

They knew to put the insufferable gunning 0Ls in with s4. All we've had in s2 are silent and unnoticeable 0Ls.Attax wrote:Just a PSA: if you're a 0L who decides to sit in on a class, don't answer questions. We also had someone taking notes in con law. Idgi, because I've been going all semester and idk what's going on in there. Idk how a 0L taking notes could keep track.cannibal ox wrote:They knew to put the insufferable gunning 0Ls in with s4. Anyone know a timeline on hearing back about FAFSA fin aid? I believe the CASH website said they will begin reviewing Feb 15th.
The 509 shows some pretty substantial grants (83% receive a grant, at an average of $9.7k). This is completely separate from the scholly amount, correct? Any current/former students confirm the grant situation?

Is it the same student? There are some freakishly smart students anywhere, although I can't imagine anyone of that intelligence not pursuing an undergraduate thesis/Plan II degree at UT lol.Attax wrote:We also had someone taking notes in con law. I'm not sure I follow. I know a lot of people who passed up Plan II for other opportunities.Oskosh wrote:There are some freakishly smart students anywhere, although I can't imagine anyone of that intelligence not pursuing an undergraduate thesis/Plan II degree at UT lol.
