Just to be clear -- by the end of this week, not last week, correct?Drockafeller wrote:I just called. Their admission staff said if you don't hear anything via email by the end of the week then you didn't get a merit-scholorship. Also after this week if you would like to be reconsidered, you should send a formal letter.
I would wait until Friday to send it. They seem to be telling everyone who attempts to solicit scholarship money that they have not finished distributing merit money, and you should wait to ask for reconsideration until the last round of offers go out.fratstar1 wrote:I'm currently drafting a letter asking for scholly money, good idea or bad idea? But isn't there a risk of them running out of money? ._.mec246 wrote: I would wait until Friday to send it. You realize that schools (for the most part) are not actually paying students any money, they are simply offering to discount what they are charging you. If you as an accepted student opt not to go, it is the school that is losing money, not you.singftw wrote:But isn't there a risk of them running out of money? ._.mec246 wrote: I would wait until Friday to send it. firesail wrote:Hey Everyone! Received my admissions decision about a week ago (March 12, submitted app March 1). My stats weren't anything special: Feb LSAT 2014 score of 166, GPA 3.25 (UChicago, Economics). I haven't heard back from any of my other schools (Gtown, NYU, Columbia, Stanford) so I think GWU is where I'll be going. I'm a Lebanese American who's lived and worked in Istanbul and I'm excited to join this community! Is there a facebook group we can all join?
