As someone who applied early October, I've partially given up but I'm trying to maintain hope. Anyone else who applied early still in the thread?

^first half of October for me (which probably means kershka as well!). I'm not sure how likely an admit I am due partly to no obvious connection to the West Coast, but I sure would love to get a call and see what stanford is all about!

+1 early Oct. No phone call, no DLS sent in status checker (indicating WL/ding). Buoyed by my lack of response bc it means I'm not yet rejected. If my status checker says "Your file has been submitted for review," does that mean that it is not actually in the review stage yet? Or does being submitted = being reviewed? It's said that since November.
