So hopefully the TN and possibly GA folks will be able to tell us tomorrow how Vandy is rainin' money down this year...
(But it's USPS so our dreams of $$$$ might survive another day or two before getting crushed)

has anyone who applied for the Merit Awards scholarships heard anything? even a confirmation that they received your application, or something telling you you didn't get it?
or do we expect that those will be given out in the same snail mail as the regular scholarships (as opposed to a phone call or something)?

I got a confirmation that my app was received right after I e-mailed it in but I haven't heard anything since. I'm also curious if info regarding them will come with the other scholly info headed out right now.FrankGallagher wrote:has anyone who applied for the Merit Awards scholarships heard anything? even a confirmation that they received your application, or something telling you you didn't get it?

I don't remember getting a confirmation either. It's happened to a lot of people, I wouldn't worry about it.

Got the same email. Just because they threw them down the mailshoot doesn't mean it was in time for pick up.jym_dawg wrote:BigZuck wrote:Yeah, I bet they finished them late yesterday and then actually mailed them today.Vanderbilt Law Admissions email, 2/27 wrote:Notifications to scholarship recipients have been sent by USPS First Class.
I have received two things from two different schools that showed a "DLS" on my status checker and were signed letters on that day but not actually postmarked and sent until a day or multiple days after.
We will found out soon enough.

Yeah, sometimes it's hilarious how much of a discrepancy there is between the date on the letter and the postmarked date. Just be thankful that we still have Saturday delivery. I feel for the C/O 2017.BigZuck wrote:Got the same email. Maybe that'll spur more schools to send their shit via email. I don't understand why everything isn't already done electronically.alwayssunnyinfl wrote:Yeah, sometimes it's hilarious how much of a discrepancy there is between the date on the letter and the postmarked date. Genteel Southern manners require formal, physical correspondence. You wouldn't e-mail an invitation to cotillion, would you?jym_dawg wrote:

Did you get an email with the subject line "Vanderbilt Law: San Francisco and Boston; March ASP hosting; Notifications"? If so, it's near the bottom of the email. I didn't realize what people were talking about either because I just skimmed over it initially.Gisney wrote:Did everyone get an email?BigZuck wrote:Got the same email.
