LSN showed a ding, I think.
Yeah, couple dings on LSN now. Also looks like NU's strategy with the ED is/was to nail down both kinds of splitters that had one score above the 75th and the other at least close to median. Will be interesting to see if they continue to do this and also how generous they are with scholarships for RD admits.

How long did everyone have to wait for an off-campus interview assignment?

I submitted my request for one almost 5 weeks ago and have heard nothing. I don't want to call and pester them because I assume it is in the works, but now I'm not so sure. My app is sitting incomplete and I feel like the delay is going to start hurting my chances.

NYC, btw.

I was gonna suggest that maybe it's because of your area...but NYC? That's really surprising..it's weird that it's taking so long. I think you should definitely call. They're not going to remember that you called and even if you did, as long as you're not rude about it (which I'm sure you wouldn't be), it wouldn't matter. If you've been waiting 5 weeks in the NYC area for an interview, i think it's acceptable to give them a ring to see what's going on.

From Northwestern just now:

"*DISCLAIMER: This is not a decision email or a status update. This is solely a corny snowman wishing you happy holidays!"

I just went complete, so I knew it couldn't really be a decision, but man. That was mean.

+1. Don't know what I hate more, the snowman or the turkey from the Thanksgiving e-mail.

man i really just wish they'd hurry up and let me in. someone just got into penn ED w/ very similar numbers to me and it's making me seriously consider signing up for their round 2 ED. but i'd much rather go to NU. But i'd rather go to penn than gtown. ugh just when i didn't think this process could get any harder...

and to reiterate- fuck you snowman.

Yeah that turkey made me laugh, though. This snowman is doing nothing for me.

I don't know, I can definitely spot a *wink* in the snowman's right eye, wonder if that implies anything. Maybe not everyone got a snowman with a *wink*

NYC, btw.

I've been waiting for a month now (D.C. area) and just called - they said that they are backed up but we should hear in the next few weeks. I would call - maybe it speeds up the process, who knows - but it seems likely that we might just be waiting for a while.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
