Submitted ED2 yesterday, completed today!

still no email from them though giving me a application checker log in or any of that though, the other schools I applied to last night sent them to me first thing in the morning... anyone else have this? are they just slower on it?

Glad I'm not alone on this.
During nov/dec they were pretty fast. They emailed and responded within the day.

I sent an optional essay two days ago and haven't heard back yet. I think they might be super busy right now.

I don't think there really is a general timeline that has been established yet. I think the first UCR date for any RD candidate was 11/20, and acceptances have been given out seemingly at random (though I'm sure there's some actual organization to it) since December.

Just got a call from a 215 number and my phone wasn't working so I couldn't hear what the other person was saying. Call them back on a different phone and it's LSAC telling me that they processed a transcript correction.

This is my first time post but Tls has helped me a lot. I just got my December test back and got 169. I can't retake anymore and my previous scores were 159 and a low 160. I have very little softs and not urm. I was wondering if I should do the ed2 for Penn. I'm not sure how much my previous lsats will hurt me. My gpa is above 75th percentile.Goal is big law in new york. So is early decision worth it or do you think the drop in applicants will help me in Rd. Thanks

ED is worth it if you don't care about scholarships and you really want to spend 3 years in Philly. Congrats on the 169. You would have a good shot at ED -- but might have to pay sticker. You could apply to the gamut between Penn and Cornell regular and might land some real $$. All of them have good BigLaw placement stats.

I wouldn't ED in your situation. What about Cornell? Their NYC placement is probably going to be comparable. Blanket the lower T14. Congrats on the score!

171/4.0. Feeling OK regarding my chances at Penn but worried about late application and 167 October LSAT score may hurt me.

Couple questions for the experts around these parts...

1) How long does it take after submitting to get a received e-mail? And then how long until a complete email? Is there a status checker?

2) What type of timetable are we seeing for decisions? For me, should I be expecting an answer in March/April?

3) For those admitted, whats the status on merit aid? Do they provide it with your offer of admission? Or do you get a letter a month later? Do you need to apply afterwards for it?

4) For those admitted / denied, how were you informed of their decision? I'm still stranded from my apartment because of Sandy and USPS mail forwarding is spotty, at best.

Check out the graphs on LSN. Penn had a pretty hard floor of 170 last cycle - looks like the only people who got in with an LSAT below that # had GPAs of 4, were URM, or ED. Things might be different this year, though.

Any opinion on ~3.1/174? There was no one with my GPA >173 and 173 was sort of the permeable line where it was a mix of green/yellow/red dots.

Long long wait for RD folks unless a miracle happens soon. They said 12 weeks from completion date.. but many of us are near or past that now -- who knows.

"Under Review 1", etc. This is when your status checker updates and is being reviewed by an actual human being. Most schools review you 2-3 times. Since writing it all out is entirely too time consuming for us acronym snazzy tls-ers, we use "ur" to keep things short and simple.
