Never received a letter saying I was waitlisted except for my status updated to waitlisted on the status checker in March. Does anybody have an idea of what this letter could be..........????? Maybe an acceptance (fingers crossed) or maybe just a letter saying I'm still on the waitlist? Wtf, now I have to wait on snail mail! HATE THIS!

Not sure if FT or PT

First of all congratulations to all of you who have been accepted already. I just spent 2 hours reading all 39 pages of this thread : )

I'm a URM and want to know what are the LSAT/GPA medians for URM applicants. I have a 3.5 GPA from Texas A&M-Political Science and am taking the Oct LSAT.

I wish all of you good luck this cycle and hope each gets in!!!

Just found out you can take courses at another school as a visiting student and have the grades transferred. This sounds too good to be true. Does anyone know how this plays out in the real world (especially with regards to ranking)? My particular case is regarding STCL (visiting UofH), but if anyone knows how it works in general that would be cool too.

Probably best to pose that question in the "Ask a Law Student" sub-forum.

Has anyone heard since Monday? I've been checking the status checker every few hours to see if there is movement, but my status still shows 3/07/2012 - Decision Rendered- Waitlisted.

Do you know how Google works? There is ample information on both U of H and STCL's website. STCL only lets you visit another school if the course isn't offered at STCL. Grades must be a C or better and don't count towards class ranking. Student must have completed 30 credits, minimum GPA requirement, and the course can't be a required course.

The bigger question is why would you take courses at U of H if you were going to STCL????? The only reason I can think of is if you had an extremely high GPA, i.e. you were in the top 5% of your class, and you wanted to dick around and get some B/C's that would transfer back as a pass and not bring down your GPA. Given that you aren't proficient at using Google, nor with posting dumb questions in the correct forum, I doubt this will be the fact pattern in your case.....

Did you see your status change in the online checker before they accepted you? I'm thinking it's not so healthy the way I keep spamming it to see if there is any movement!

Yeah, i got that email as well. Saw it and thought it was an acceptance letter. Needless to say, the touching bases email caused some false excitement.

I took the phrase "the committee has admitted a nominal number of applicants from the waitlist in the preceding weeks" to mean "you're probably not gonna get in, shmuck." I've lowered my expectations to a possible offer when some people bail the first week of classes. Best of luck to all.
