If you don't mind my asking, have you decided on another school?

I haven't decided yet and I'm still waiting to hear back from a couple schools, but I decided that I would not go to W&M over my other options (NYU, UVA, GULC, and GW). And honestly, W&M only offered $8k/year, so that was not enough of an incentive for me to pass up the T14s. Also, I've decided I want to be in a city for the networking and externship opportunities, and my spouse is going to stay in DC regardless of where I matriculate, so Georgetown & GW have that going for them.

tl;dr version: No, but probably NYU or Georgetown.

They are pretty generous. And considering you are in at GULC and Michigan I assume your numbers are good enough to get some substantial money

Sounds like GULC is a good fit for you. If you got in at NYU, I'm sure GULC will treat you right. I can't believe you only got $8k at W&M!

Stupid question ahoy: Is it too late to apply for a grad fellowship after admission? I mean they're not something you can pick up in 2 or 3L, or are they?

I'm a super-splitter, so it was probably easy for them to underestimate where I'd be accepted. I hope you're right about GULC

Do it. W&M says they have a partial rolling admission so you wouldn't be too disadvantaged applying late in the game. Also, whats the damage? $16 report fee?

I don't think it's too late. I just applied last Saturday. Similar logic as above.

I feel like I may be a long shot any ways. My GPA is at about the 75% but my LSAT is well below the medium. The most comparable school I applied to, Notre Dame, put me on the waitlist.

Hey y'all W&M is on CNN right now if you didn't know. I went here undergrad but prolly gonna end up at Cornell (W&M didn't offer enough cash). The area is beautiful and it's probably the perfect environment for a serious law student. If anybody has any questions about the burg or student life feel free to ask!

They are sort of hazy on that.. the website says
(6) Apply for Need-Based Financial Aid
Applicants for need-based scholarships and/or educational loans must file The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) . The recommended deadline is February 15. The FAFSA Title IV code for William & Mary is 003705. All admitted applicants are automatically considered for merit scholarships awarded by the Law School based on the information submitted to complete the application for admission. No additional information is required.

I think they are essentially calling FAFSA a need-based "scholarship".. everyone is considered for the Merit Scholarships, and from what I have heard that's what the school gives out; so I'd expect you should hold out hope for that more
