I'm sorry dude. That sucks.
If your LSAT can't counterbalance your GPA, I've got no shot either.

Why does the best school in the PNW have to hate splitters? WUSTL loves me but I don't want to live in the midwest.

Is UW going for some sort of record jump? Like trying to crack the T25/T20 in one year? If so, going to be tough for them as they don't seem to have any scholarship money and most auto admits will matriculate elsewhere...

sorry man. that sucks. this process has been soul-crushing for me as well, so I feel your pain. I heard you say somewhere that you weren't sure you would go to law school if you didn't get into UW, but I think you should reconsider that. If law is what you wanna do, go for it. You can get a job in Seattle from SU or from a good school in a diff. area
I'm in the same boat as you and may take WUSTL and just plan on beating the block w/ my resume in the PNW/Nor-Cal after graduation

I'm sorry. That also stresses me out considering your LSAT is 13 points higher than mine.

I suppose I could always go to WUSTL, come back to Seattle, and hope people get "Washington University" confused with "University of Washington."

That sucks! Is it down to just SU now or did you try elsewhere?Adjudicator wrote:Well, it's over for me... got the letter today. Straight-up rejection.![]()

EDIT: And now I'm scared... It still says "In Review" but also shows a decision letter sent out yesterday! Come on big envelope. Let's see a little love for Evergreen.

Re: U Washington 2011 Applicants
Let's just say that I'm really happy that I chose to apply to WUSTL, because it has been the only real bright spot to this entire cycle, as well as the only school that really seems to want me to attend.
However, I would trade my $84,000 total scholarship at #19 WUSTL for the chance to pay sticker at #34 UW.
What a weird process this is.

It'd definitely say that's a better deal than SU at... well any cost. Missouri's no Washington, but it ain't bad.Adjudicator wrote:Let's just say that I'm really happy that I chose to apply to WUSTL, because it has been the only real bright spot to this entire cycle, as well as the only school that really seems to want me to attend.

Wow, adjudicator. So sorry. I was convinced that you would get in. Now, I feel like there is no way I'll get in if they are turning down your LSAT. Then again, they have been so weird this cycle, who knows why you didn't make it. St. Louis is actually kind of a cool city. You should definitely give it a shot.
I'm definitely losing hope for UW at this point...I have a higher gpa, but my LSAT is no where near as good...right on UW's median. I can only hope my softs pull me through...slim chance I feel.

I've really noticed this too... It's a shame because undergrad GPA's are extremely inconsistent between colleges and even more so between majors... I mean no offense to all the Sociology folks out there, BUT ALL UNDERGRAD MAJORS ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL!!!! My 3.35 B.S. in Economics with a minor in stats was no cake walk (especially because my econ faculty prided themselves in being stingy with grades).JakeL wrote:Why in the hell does UW hate so hard on mediocre GPAs
I guess my point is GPA's are far from homogenous, and therefore don't lend themselves very well to comparison. I know admissions offices say they take those things into consideration, but at the end of the day the GPA percentiles that get reported to the ABA don't have majors attached to them.

Well, between you and Adjudicator, I'm pretty much fucked at this point.
