I sent mine like a few weeks ago, but haven't received any receipt confirmation. Should I call them?

Yeah, I had to call to get a confirmation. When on the phone, she said she got a whole pile of transcripts a few days ago, so yours may be among that.

Just got an email asking me if I want to remain on the WL. I'm assuming everyone on the WL received this email. Can any others confirm this?

Yea. hopefully they have some grant money left too because I don't think I would attend Davis at sticker.

They claim that their wait list is not ranked, so i'm really curious as to what impact this actually has in their decision making process. Because if they don't have us numbered and ranked, then this takes them from having a large pile of students waiting to having a smaller pile of students still waiting. Lol, it seems rather ineffective.

They said they mostly look at personal statements when taking students off the waitlist.

Just got in off the waitlist. I'm excited but pissed I didn't fill out the need access form. I'm screwed when it comes to financial aid or is FAFSA good enough for them to determine any sort of need-based scholarship?

Almost certain you'll need the Need Access for need-based. Have you tried contacting the financial aid office? Maybe there's some way that you can still get it in.

I submitted the need access form, just to see if I qualify for any need-based financial aid. I'm coming from out of state, so Davis is a really expensive option.

Davis is expensive even in-state these days. LOL.

Would anyone who has filled out the Need Access form be so kind as to let me know if you think it is worth it, if one of my parents has a lot of assets, even though I will be the one paying for school. (im under 30, not a veteran, single, no dependents)

Sorry, that was awkwardly phrased. Mom's rich, I'm not. Will I be automatically ineligible for need-based aid?

It's pretty expensive in state so out of state has to be pretty steep. Did they give you a time frame to decide by?

And I am not yet sure if I am going to accept...they gave me until Friday, July 8th, to decide. For me it's between Hastings and Davis. I already got my fin aid offer from Davis which would make it 15k cheaper after 3 years BUT, I currently live in the bay area and loveeeeeeeeee it here!

So yeah, not sure where to go. The boyfriend and I are going to drive up to Davis this weekend to check out the campus and town. Hopefully after that I can decide...hopefully!

Oh, and I was notified via email yesterday morning at 7:21am...somebody was in the office early!

To add...I had already completed the need access form months earlier so I received my fin aid award letter that same day at like 4:30pm. THEN, early this afternoon I received a scholarship offer via email from Davis...it's a small offer but enough to make my decision that much harder.

Now I need to go back and read all those Hastings vs. Davis threads.
