Exactly, which leads one to believe that the median is staying at 170, no?
I never disagreed with you. I was offering supporting information for a belief you and I share.

Oh, gotcha. Sorry, I'm a bit distracted (with fury) by this disaster of a flower arrangement that was just delivered as a nice, romantic surprise (...late Valentine's) for my gf. Ugh. I ordered red roses and a silver vase, not crushed pink roses and a clear vase.

That said, keeping a 170 median is going to cost them in a year where fewer people are taking the LSAT and 170s are in shorter supply.

And sorry about your flowers... but I respect the decision to do it on a day other than 'the day'. I do that as a matter of course, and my girlfriend has grown to like it... makes it more of a surprise than the fulfilling of expectations.

Hey, I'm below the 25th percentile for LSAT, so let's commiserate together.

Yeah, due to personal reasons we both agreed to postpone VDay to this week. So after this disaster from 1800flowers, we're off to a great start. I sent them a scathing e-mail and they gave me a partial refund and sent me a $20 gift card that may or may not arrive in a month. Super.

Neonx, regardless of what your LSAT is, whatever's getting you into all those schools obviously more than compensates. I wouldn't worry if I were you!

Blows my mind that with my 169, had I got one or two more random questions on the LSAT right, it literally could've made the difference between getting in to Duke or not. What. The. Fuck.

C'est la vie, though.

I feel ya.

Statistically speaking, a 169 and a 170 did essentially the same on the LSAT, but to adcomms, a change in "tier" (159-160, 169-170) seems to mean a lot. Sorry if I'm reiterating a painful point for you, just wanted to let you know I find it irrational as well.

Feel ya bro. I got a 165 and two or three more questions putting me at a 167 or 168 would have done wonders. Damn those USNWR rankings.

+1

I made a dumb mistake on like 2 questions and I needed only 1 more for a 170. And they are practically the same percentile but of course they don't care. :(

I retook my original score of 169 knowing that I would be satisfied just getting one point higher. It paid off.

Hell, 2 or 3 points can get you into CCN and maybe even HYS if you're lucky. Amazing what a few good guesses can do.
