Sometime in June IIRC. I couldn't do summer start because Michigan's summer start was during my school year...arism87 wrote:Aww, my package went to my parents' house, but my dad read it to me. Apparently they put me in as a fall start because they figured I'd still be teaching, but I can switch to summer if I want.. so nice! Anyone with a summer start know what day that starts?

According to the academic calendar, orientation for summer start is May 31 and classes begin June 2.

Thanks! I'd have to miss the last few days of work (like, 3) which at this point is a really tempting excuse to GTFO... lolSoda Mixer wrote:According to the academic calendar, orientation for summer start is May 31 and classes begin June 2.

Congrats to everyone accepted recently! Keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be joining y'all in the admitted crowd soon. Anyone else from the 10/26 complete batch still waiting for a decision?

With each day that passes where my status stays at "Complete," I die a little inside.
Complete 10/26.
Would love to be thankful for a Michigan acceptance this Thanksgiving!

How long after you submitted did Mich send you an acknowledgment email? I sent mine in last Wed. and haven't heard (every other school I got one the next day).

I like how it gets hilariously general about a tenth the way through. "[insert part of] the Bible". lol

That list of books just doesn't sound like light summer reading. This would be what I (Women's studies major) notice but.....most of those books are written by men. I imagine that I will not be heeding the advice of this list and will focus more on reading the strange collection of books I have collected over the years and have not had a chance to read.arism87 wrote:Anybody else skim the reading list recommended for people who just INSIST on reading something prior to attending? Congrats to all the admits! I'm really envious.
I submitted Nov. 3rd, went complete Nov. 12, and still no status checker
I hope I can still get in before January...

Got my acceptance packet today. Nice note from Dean Z too, she said my personal statement was excellent. Does she write that for everyone?

I think she writes something for everyone, but it might vary with each applicant a bit.Knock wrote:Got my acceptance packet today. Nice note from Dean Z too, she said my personal statement was excellent. Does she write that for everyone?
