They will not post next year tuition until the fall starts I believe. 45k instate I am pretty sure. There is a link to the regents report somewhere on the cal finaid website. We also got an email from the chancellor about the effects the budget reduction of 500 mill for UC system this year, which speaks to the future.

The sticker increase won't matter if they increase aid ... so I suppose we are taking a gamble. This requires some careful research and planning.weee wrote:They will not post next year tuition until the fall starts I believe. 45k instate I am pretty sure. Dude I hope that some school doesn't think you are YP worthy. At least Columbia is the most likely one to give you a thumbs up.thecilent wrote:Waitlisted via email as well. Send mid-oct. Will be withdrawinggg

From LSN no one with your numbers got WL'ed at USC last year. Hell, no one with my numbers was WL'ed last year. I think USC is predictable and not a big YP'erthecilent wrote:My app gets a lot of different reactions from schools. Was sort of expecting this WL- same with USC

Moneko, are you going to visit or anything to try to get off the WL, or let it simmer?

Here are the proposed in-state tuition numbers for schools, they are last year's numbers, and then the estimates for this year and the next two years at the time of this report. This year's tuition is right on the mark from that prediction. These rates will probably leave at least UCLA comparable to a lot of the top schools in terms of tuition. Keep in mind that this tuition amount includes the student health insurance plan, which most other schools include as a separate line item.
Los Angeles $35,906 $40,522 $44,542 $48,985
Berkeley $36,487 $44,220 $49,347 $51,815
I just want to say that I'm not trying to discourage anyone with these numbers, I just think it is only fair that people know what they are getting into.

I wish I could figure out UCLA. Why have people who submitted after me with worse numbers been admitted already while I suffer in this silence?
