Let's keep our hopes high! Things could still turn out well and it's not like Columbia is THAT much better than NYU. And there's always the possibility of transferring!

It's all arbitrary, but 4:30 sounds like a nice, round, pre-5pm time for decisions to come out.thecilent wrote:Why would that be the case?bryannance wrote:I'm hoping in about 5 mins things will blow up...Nola wrote:The silence if deafening on this forum.

This much I can guarantee is wrong, based on history at least. Also considering the low number of acceptances released today I am hoping we will hear back again on Wednesday.$1.99 wrote:i am starting to feel as if there will be no more ED acceptances

Nobody here (in the library) understands why I'm so antsy/fidgety. And it's finals week...just imagine.

When do the rejects traditionally start rolling in? Anybody know?

Re: Columbia 2011!
FWIW, I got a fall grade request...
RD, applied early/mid october.. I saw some posts earlier about them, and it seems like they go to a wide variety of people (low, mid, high GPAs), has anyone else found some concrete info on their potential meaning?

Re: Columbia 2011!
Because in a couple of different cycles scores were released within 2 days. Last year anf the year before. And both were after what appear to be small releases (like today). Could be completely wrong though haha.$1.99 wrote:why wednesdayJoeShmoe11 wrote:This much I can guarantee is wrong, based on history at least. Re: Columbia 2011!
So there are only two known acceptances today? That seems odd. How many EDers do they typically accept each year? After what date should we all give up hope and therefore start in on the holiday nog?

Re: Columbia 2011!
Id have to guess the next round of acceptances (if it is not this week) will have rejections mixed in maybe 50/50. If you don't receive an acceptance at that point I would start to worry. This is knowledge from massive stalking of old ED threads.Nola wrote:So there are only two known acceptances today? That seems odd. How many EDers do they typically accept each year? Re: Columbia 2011!
I talked to my advisor about this (who is a former law school admissions person) and she said it usually means they are debating your application and would like to see how you did this semester, that senioritis isn't setting in, etc. She could have just been saying all that to get me to leave her office, I am going to believe CLS just wanted to make sure I am as awesome as I came off in my application. The Stig wrote:FWIW, I got a fall grade request...

Eff.... So maybe tomorrow :/
Edit: It seems last year they admitted twice as many ED apps as they have so far this year. I don't think they're done.
