Holy hell, give me a decision already. The deposit deadlines are approaching, and I applied in November. If they took this long to waitlist or deny, I am going to be pissed off. There is no reason for it. Baylor and IU are in the running for slowest schools alive unless you are an auto-admit.

I think Arizona State might edge out their competition in this category. They haven't admitted ANYBODY outside of early decision applicants.

You should call. That's how I found out I was WL'd yesterday, and she was very friendly about it. I applied in November too, so hopefully you had better luck than me. But, like I said they told me their class still isn't full, so I'm assuming they're waiting out the $120k's.

Hmm I think I'll call later today (I'm another november applicant). Although it's nice that she told you over the phone, isn't it a little frustrating that they had already made a decision on your file but not told you? Or maybe they'd already sent out the decision via snail mail but you hadn't received it yet?

I think they probably made the decision Friday or Monday because she said I had just been placed on the WL and I would be receiving a letter in the mail soon. So, I have a feeling there are some WL letters on the way...

So, I just called. The man on the phone looked up my name, and told me a decision should be coming via mail in under a week. This sounds like there is a rejection letter coming my way, right? It was pretty clear that a decisions had be made, and was on it's way... I'm assuming he just didn't want to say "rejected" over the phone. Sigh.

With 163/3.3, yeah, probably. Sorry, mate. It seems like they're going for candidates with really high scores of either, not pretty solid of both.

I called today and the lady said that I could expect a decision in 1 or 2 weeks. They've had my app for 11 weeks now. I'm not really sure what's going on or why they are taking so long since I'm pretty positive I'm an auto-denied but having to wait is killing me

If you'd been diligently following this thread, you'd realize it's not a surprise at all with your GPA.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if you're eventually accepted. Don't care what your LSAT is.

Seriously? Wohoo. It's bad, in the 150s lol. With all my loans for undergrad, and If I have to pay full ticket for law I might as well strive for a career in the government and do IBR.

waitlisted as well; no biggie as it wasn't high up on my list but a guess a little surprised/hurt at the waitlist (maybe I should've mentioned that my dad taught at the b-school for 10 years)..........I will be withdrawing--good luck to everyone waiting!

Looks like it. On LSN everyone with a 166+ has received a MOAS.

They are probably working on their GPA median now.

i've never been, but maybe check out the restaurants that have ads in the bloomington magazine they sent us. not sure if it is a guarantee for quality, but at least those places are prolly the most popular and make money. anyway, you can always ask on campus. when the career services guy asks if you have any questions about their placements, ask about the food first

He applied on 1/12. There aren't a lot of data points for a gpa under 2.5, so not sure if this is a result of his late application or gpa.

You should be sure to at least get a drink at Nick's. Hopefully you'll have time for a few games of sink the biz.

Other good bars include Upstairs, Kilroy's on Kirkwood, the Bluebird, and the Vid. You can't really find a bad restaurant even if you try. Just walk up Kirkwood or Fourth St. and take your pick of terrific ethnic fare. Everything is good. Essan Thai and Shanti (Indian) are my personal favorites. If you want a great cut of meat: Janko's Little Zagreb. Smokin' Jack's Rib Shack is THE bbq joint. And there's a whole host of sushi options throughout town.

I think you'll find that one of Bloomington's most attractive features is its dining/drinking opportunities. Endless and delicious.

Im actually surprised at this. I know of at least 1 other 2.4/167 on LSN who go in with $ (non-urm apparently) and I myself got in with a 167/2.44.

I would hold out and see what happens. Chances are you can still get in because some of the admits are going to turn IUB down and head off elsewhere. Thats a real bummer man.

go look on LSN - while some schools may not even have an entire page of admits, IUb has an entire page(ish) of 120k scholarship recipients.

WL with a 165/3.6. Really seems like they have a brick wall between 165/166. 165=WL. 166=Admit with 120k. Crazy.
