I solicited from Stanford using their official waiver application.
Was that a financial or merit application?

Dear lord don't tempt me. I love needlessly complicated board games so much
Do it! I hate board games, but I feel like everyone else wants this. I have no attention span for board games.

Just depends on how in depth they want to look at your transcripts.

Is it futile to point out individual courses in a uGPA Addendum? I.E. these courses are not representative of my abilities because they are, for example, Digital Video Production courses from a prior major.
Yes, they can see your whole transcript.

Don't point out flaws that don't need pointing out. Do not address individual courses unless you really feel the need to.

My first year in college was a tumultuous period in my life, due to my mom being laid off and beginning to decline in health. I had to take on a full time job, and I was barely able to attend class. I believe my GPA as it stands including that year is not indicative of my academic prowess nor of my ability to succeed in law school. Without that first year on my record my cumulative UGA would be XXX. My overall GPA at Texas School Here (XXX+Y), my 4-year degree granting institution, is a more accurate representation of who I am as a student and a better gauge of how I will perform in law school.

Here's an example of my GPA add.
