Oh that's where I remember seeing it!
It looked super satirical but also familiar so I couldn't mentally piece out the context where I had seen it before!

I get it. The Gentleman's thread is meant to tongue in cheek. People in it are talking about whiskey and beer, and there's nothing inherently wrong with that.
The problem is that on another level, it's trivializing the fact that there are certain groups that do face discrimination in the legal profession (and elsewhere- but we'll just focus on the legal profession). These groups - women, people of color, LGBTQ people - face/prepare to face certain issues in applying for law school and entering the legal profession that other groups simply don't. And it's perfectly understandable that these underrepresented groups want to have a place to talk about them.
When a group that
really isn't facing any sort of discrimination starts a thread mocking a legitimate one - even if it's done lightheartedly, which I'm sure the Gentleman's thread is is - things starts to get dicey. As I said, it's not like the people in it are saying anything bad, and there are no ill intentions. But let's say there were a non-URM thread/forum created to poke fun at the URM forum. I'd like to think that no one ITT would be posting in it even if the content were all puppies and Parks and Rec and tasty liquor. It would simply be in poor taste. It's really no different with the male/female threads.

Would it be bad form to start emailing schools with my new LSAT score now for fee waivers?

Hopefully we can continue to shoot the breeze in the Compendium like we have because men can learn something from these ladies.

No. That's what is advised to do.

How did you do?
175. Started -3 and -4 but somehow squeezed two -0s out on the last two sections
!!!!! Very happy for you! I got a 170, and it was my third take. I can retake in December, but I don't think I have it in me.

With you there man, if I was in a situation where I had to retake in December it would have been tough to get remotivated for sure. Your GPA is pretty solid though right?
3.28, so no. I'm a splitter. I just don't have it in me to retake. I need time with my wife and son. I plan on EDing to Michigan though.

Same :c
I couldn't though because of how ridiculous my class and work schedule was/is this semester. My plan is Feb Retake after spending my winter break doing nothing but prep.

Nice. Tailgating for Michigan games, drinking brews on the golf course sounds like good times.

I may retake. I did better than last time, although not what I am happy with. I'll probably apply and then retake in February.

You're gonna get! You're an awesome candidate!

Are you gonna retaking solely for Scholarship money?

I was four questions away from my target score. It's more for a pride thing, I suppose.

No offense but that sounds like a silly reason if that's your only reason to retake.

I don't know how much I will be posting in this thread since within the next few days I'm just going to click send and wait for acceptances, but it's nice to see my fellow October squad members in here after all of our camaraderie
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
