So I just had to wait another month before they started handing out money like candy again? Good to know.

Withdrew right before deadline. Just got a scholarship increase but not by much. I guess waiting does have its perks. Still too low for me to completely dive in :/

78k debt for WUSTL is crazy, right?!

Wow!
That's harsh
Would imagine that you will be a lock, if you apply again early next cycle.

Thanks. I called this afternoon and they confirmed they have my transcript on file. I wonder what else I can do besides the June LSAT... This is my first choice.Cellar-door wrote:I wouldn't call more than once a week or so personally.MinkiTaro wrote:I contacted the admissions office on May 24th asking what documents they accept over the summer from wait-listed applicants (Like a thesis or additional LORs). The woman on the other end was very cheerful and told me anything I feel that would strengthen my application. I'm also retaking my LSAT in 10 days and feel pretty good about that.
I already sent in a LOCI.
I also had my school send my final transcript directly to WUSTL, rather than LSAC (the woman on the phone told me to do this).
She also said that they like to hear from WL'd applicants regularly throughout the summer. What exactly does that mean? How often should I call?
She could not confirm whether my LOCI was received, and my transcript was sent out on the 24th.
When should I call to ask at least whether my transcript was received?
Call on Tuesday or Wednesday about the transcript
They told me to expect little to no scholarship, and I told them that was fine. They then referred me to some outside scholarships to apply to...
I know regular applicants could interview. Could I ask for one? Does anyone who is wait-listed know if they offer interviews for us?
Thanks.
Anxious.

I'm not sure if interviews are done for waitlisted applicants, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. Am i correct in guessing that you're a reverse splitter? Depending on how high your GPA is, you should consider re-applying next year if you kill your June LSAT.MinkiTaro wrote: Thanks. I mean, I asked a week after the decision I received on April 12th, and they said "Not at this time." I'm afraid of annoying them.cusenation wrote:I'm not sure if interviews are done for waitlisted applicants, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. Am i correct in guessing that you're a reverse splitter? I am a reverse splitter. My GPA is good (Above a 3.7), and I think I can do better when taking the test, though not spectacularly. I'm not good at standardized tests, as you could tell by my high school GPA, rank, and SAT scores.

I hate to ask so many questions. I hope I'm not annoying anyone just as anxious as I am.

Over the phone, she did say "we know you are a very good student." I hope this ends well. Though I'm willing to re-apply.

Your GPA is really good...if this cycle doesn't work out then you should have no anxiety about re-applying next cycle, especially if your June LSAT comes out well or if you think u can improve significantly on the October/December test. Anecdotally I know there have been reverse splitters with your GPA and with a 163-ish LSAT that got scholarships. I dunno where your LSAT is now, but if you can get it up to the low 160's then you should be in a good place. WUSTL always seems to need high GPA's during the summer.
A lot of people on these boards will tell you to re-take and re-apply since your GPA is good. But i realize that's not always as easy some some ppl make it sound. So for now just throw all your efforts into killing the June exam. If you do really well, then you should def sit this one out and re-apply.

I dunno where he is, I got a message from him a few weeks ago that he was going on a 'vision quest' and wouldn't have any Internet. Haven't heard from him since.sublime wrote:
Where has wannabe been, btw? I have been meaning to ask. Is he still going to WUSTL?

Good to see that you picked WUSTL over OU! There was actually another poster from OK named Wannabelawstudent...he could probably provide some insight about the OK market if u had more questionsDolphine wrote:Hey everyone.
