I wasn't trying to drop any hints, if that's what it seemed! I just want CLS so much now that I'm grateful for every little thing that might improve my chances, however little...

one hundred percent agree with jrose. theres something that all of us have that they potentially need and during this week, post deposit deadline, is when they will sort out their class as thoroughly as possible.

I don't know, but I doubt there is any difference. From what I've gathered, it seems like there are up to 3 WLs over the course of the summer (First, Second, and Third Reserve), and none of these are ranked.

I don't think there have been any hold->dings so far...there have been dings but I believe they have been direct ones.

Just to add to the wealth of information already on this thread, I know of someone who was reserved today after going complete in December. This person was never held and was a dual degree applicant.

Waitlisted 1:20PM AZ time. Via e-mail. I guess I should use the correct term. I'm on "reserve". Makes me feel like I'm the 2nd string QB sitting on the bench.

I emailed Columbia yesterday asking for an update because I have a scholarship deadline this Friday. They just wrote back saying a decision letter was sent in the mail today. I wonder why they wouldn't just tell me...

It's super frustrating that schools won't release decisions to you over the phone (except for the schools that call).

yeah only thing is they haven't yet (to my knowledge) emailed dings (only snailmail)...though I don't think any held people have been dinged...but now I'm getting worried that us leftover holds are awaiting dings :/
