No BC mail today here in Siberia-
Well not quite Siberia, but I can see Russia from my house.....
Although I did receive a non-law related package from Boston yesterday postmarked 12/14.
This is getting interesting!
It's either a package or the mail has slowed down considerably.

Holy Holistic Adcomms, Batman! From all the numbers-based chaos in the past few hours, It looks like BC is actually reading personal statements! I don't know if this is good news for me, but I doubt it.
Congrats and condolences!

Chaos is the best word to describe it. There's no rhyme or reason to their decisions from a purely numbers perspective. It's kind of refreshing, but also frightening if you're waiting to hear. Have faith, everyone!!Burger in a can wrote:Holy Holistic Adcomms, Batman! From all the numbers-based chaos in the past few hours, It looks like BC is actually reading personal statements! Big packet in NYC today - 3.45/168. To confirm - no one has yet received a scholarship notification from them, correct?
A bit disappointed their Open House is the same weekend as William & Mary's since, at the moment and barring any surprise acceptances, they are both strong contenders and I would like to visit both before making my decision.

Re: BC Law 2010
Wow, some of those are excellent numbers and it really makes no sense. I do start to wonder if personal statements, especially "tailored" to BC ones, are responsible. I didn't personalize mine but it had a distinct Jesuit slant to it as it addresses law and morality, with a tiny pro-life stance. But BC isn't Notre Dame so I'm not sure if that had to do with it.GobiasIndustries wrote:Chaos is the best word to describe it. Yea, just talk about Kairos retreats, include the phrase "Men for Others" in your application and you should be golden for BCautumn80 wrote:I didn't personalize mine but it had a distinct Jesuit slant to it as it addresses law and morality, with a tiny pro-life stance. Re: BC Law 2010
Yeah, the disappointment has melted because I got my Vandy box this evening! Its annoying to have to wait longer to hear from BC, but its not a huge setback. I was starting to panic that I did something stupid on my app, but I submitted the same app pretty much for both Vandy and BC and didn't interview with Vandy, so if they gave me some love, not all hope is lost!dms87 wrote:WTF. Wow. No word on my EA -- I live in Central NY -- it should really be here by now. Hoping it's a BIG envelope ... that's slowly lumbering towards my mailbox. I have a pretty waitlist/reject-worthy LSAT but fine GPA, awesome PS (if I do say so myself), 3 great LOR's a master's and I was in the Peace Corps. Oh maybe-just-maybe they'll let me in!?!?!
EDIT: Normally I'm pretty humble, too. Just feeling awfully "holistic" ... if you catch my drift.
