This won't be what you want to hear, but those median-ish LSAT with really high GPA are just the kind of people they seem to have started with. That said, most acceptances so far have come from people complete before 11/17. I think you should hear in the next day or two.

See, that's exactly what I'm worried about. I feel like if I miss the boat on this high-GPA wave, I'm going to be out of luck. And it appears that all the letters were mailed on the same day, so if I don't have it tomorrow I'm going to have to assume I probably won't get in.

It just makes me worried about my other apps.

You have great numbers. Have you heard from Berkeley yet? Harvard?

in!!! my mail gets forwarded to my home address so i had my mom check it while i was on the phone with her. she goes "there's this blue envelope...hmm let's see...NYU? did you apply there?" and i just started going "open it open it open it!!!"

LOL, your mom sounds like my mom. Mine went "Hi, honey, you got a couple things in the mail today. There was this big health-insurance packet <<lots of meaningless details>>...and something purple too. Looks like it's from NYU. Think I should open it?"

whatever happened to "neither snow, nor sleet, nor rain...". I thought mailmen were supposed to be hardcore.

YAYYYYYY!!!!!

I was dancing around for 10 minutes before opening the letter. Completed 11/17, 174/3.6.

Congrats to everyone else! And thanks Mr. Mailman, even though it takes longer to get the letter within the city!

Where is this admitted students portion?

I was looking under the Financial Aid tab of the Admissions section, and it showed up in a box on the right side of the screen. It could still be from last year.

I'm in--I'M IN @ NYU!!! I can hardly believe it!

There is hope for us aging non-trads, after all. My letter was dated December 1, and it just got to me today, after traveling roughly an entire mile.

Seriously, I hardly dared to dream about this-I am thrilled.

Did anyone else notice how many people got their letters today from all regions of the country? With the exception of a few stragglers so many of the decisions have been today, despite the date on all the letters being 12/1. Makes you wonder if NYU knows exactly how long it takes for letters to get to most places in the U.S.

got my big purple envelope today!
I couldn't believe it because i got my "complete" email a week ago, but when i got home, my mom said i got mail, and she said, "something from nyu" I almost freaked out. I said, "a big envelope or a little envelope?" and she said "big", I ran into my room (where she puts my mail) and ripped it open!

here are my stats for those interested
i applied ED around Nov 8th, got my complete email a week ago.
3.64 GPA, 172 LSAT.
a couple years work experience, great essay (in my opinion), good extracurriculars.

Hm, same stats, same ED, and it sounds like the same completion date (11/25?). After this acceptance, it will be VERY hard to rationalize if I don't get in this week. You just cranked up the pressure.
