Anyone have any success stories with scholarship negotiation yet?

I got in back in January and the scholarship information was sent about three weeks later. $114k. I have a full ride to UMN and SLU, with basically a full ride to Iowa (one of those packages with a guaranteed RA position and in-state tuition for the second two years). Other solid offers, but nothing that would really compete with WUSTL, and no news from T14s. I'm hoping to increase my scholarship package, but I have a sneaking suspicion that as an STL native they think I will be attending regardless of other offers. I do not fully expect them to match the offer from UMN, but it seems to be the closest peer school to use as a bargaining chip. They already know about my Iowa offer. Any thoughts on when/how I should be negotiating?

(Full disclosure: my father is an alum and I have recommendation phoned in from a family friend that is Federal judge and WUSTL alum. 167 LSAT, 3.75 GPA.)

114k seems pretty good. I dont think you can get much negotiating with the umn or slu offers though.

Is there a consensus on what a long waiting period between interview and admissions means? I have decent numbers and I think my interview went off well, but it has been 10 days and I have yet to hear anything. Good/Bad/Neutral sign?

I interviewed nearly three months ago and still havent heard back haha. Numbers are competitive... between 25th and 50th LSAT and >75th GPA. Plus the woman who interviewed me said that she was giving me a great recommendation. So yeah... could be awhile :/

I doubt we bombed the interview tbh. She would've just not said anything if we had done poorly, not lie to us. At least I hope not lol

Same thing as you all (Interviewed early December), and I ended up getting in last week so I wouldn't panic yet

Has anyone else gotten a request to schedule a phone call with Dean Staudt? I guess I was supposed to talk to her when I visited for my interview but there was a scheduling mishap and she wasn't available. She E-mailed about a week after I got my acceptance E-mail asking to schedule a call. I set up the call for next Monday. I didn't think much of it but now I'm wondering if it's potentially about a scholarship ie the Deans fellowship. But they already gave me a scholar in law award and I wouldn't think they would notify of a scholarship if a larger one was a possibility. Does she speak with every admitted student? Just wondering if anyone had a similar experience.

Nope, no request here (accepted in January w/Dean's Fellowship).

Wondering if anyone has any knowledge about the possibility of WUSTL bumping up stipend awards. I feel pretty bad trying to do it because they've already given me a pretty generous amount, but some extra $ could potentially sway my decision.

Got an incredibly kind email back from my interviewer congratulating me on my acceptance/scholarship offer.

Also included WAS THE FREE T-SHIRT OFFER. Stoked lol
