Re: WUSTL Class of 2019 Applicants
exactly one month after acceptance got my scholarship info - $114,000. Very excited; didn't think I'd be getting so much. Top choice right now.

Scholarship offer came in today. $141K. After my interview/campus visit, I definitely expected they were planning on giving me something, but I did not figure it would be that much. Dayum.

I got in about a month ago, about two weeks ago I received a merit package of 144k. It's nearly full tuition, would it be wise to try and negotiate a full scholly using acceptance to a T6 school to get the last ~ 6k? #debtadverse

Yes. Or just wait until the deposit deadline to make your deposit, and they'll have probably bumped you up to full by that point anyway.t14ohlehdoit wrote:I got in about a month ago, about two weeks ago I received a merit package of 144k. Waitlisted. I assumed as much since my LSAT was a few points under my normal PT range but figured I'd apply anyway.

Same :/ Sorry you're waiting so long! I'm hoping they'll start offering more scholarships (and possibly some money to candidates that don't have 75th percentile stats) in late February/early March. Does anybody think the closer to the decision date we get the more likely they are to throw out money to secure candidates?Lucyfur wrote:All this scholly news yesterday and I still haven't heard anything since my acceptance 12/31 -__-

Has anyone emailed or called admissions for a travel stipend for admit weekend? How much do they cover?

Re: WUSTL Class of 2019 Applicants
Haven't asked about admitted students weekend yet, but when I did my campus visit back in the fall, they covered the on-campus hotel in full and reimbursed some of my travel cost. I don't recall exactly what amount, but I can check if you want.Lucyfur wrote:Has anyone emailed or called admissions for a travel stipend for admit weekend? How much do they cover?

Re: WUSTL Class of 2019 Applicants
Question- I applied a bit over a month ago and my status hasn't changed at all (besides being complete). WashU is a school I'm In the medians of. Is anyone else who applied around or earlier than I did in a similar situation? I'm getting panicky, but I don't think I messed up my app because I've been accepted to schools already with the same essays/extras, just higher in the medians.

Re: WUSTL Class of 2019 Applicants
I was e-mailed immediately after my interview and offered either a hotel room or an amount of money that would well cover my travel costs (only from Chicago; not sure if the amount was influenced by that. If I was coming from further away it wouldn't cover costs at all).Lucyfur wrote:Has anyone emailed or called admissions for a travel stipend for admit weekend? How much do they cover?

My scholar in law award was upgraded to a dean's fellowship. Still a full ride, but this comes with some mentorship and an RA position, it seems.

Waiting since Oct too. I thought I was the only one. Why don't they want to give us money?
