I don't think you should necessarily jump to that conclusion. If UVA is a strong reach school for you it may not be a great sign, but I don't think we can draw any conclusions just based on how long you've been waiting.

I was accepted a few weeks ago. Plenty of people in this thread are still waiting though.

A few weeks ago?! But it is only 9/25 today! You must be the guy whose file was complete on 9/1 and was accepted on 9/2, right?

My guess is that they're going to wait to see what the applicant pool looks like after the Oct LSAT and promptly realize high scores are still a hot commodity. And you'll be in after that!

Would high scores mean scores above the median? Above the 75%? I'm asking because at the median and I'm concerned that there's no incentive for them to accept me early because I'm not increasing their medians, only holding them

No, a little later than that for me. But a few other posters were accepted on 9/1. UVA moved very fast this year.
Yeah, UVA was crazy. I submitted around 1am on 9/1 and got accepted at like 4:30pm.

I bet UVA would like to raise their median, yes. Especially with Duke holding at 169.

I think UVA prefer those with high GPA rather than high LSAT score. My score is above 75% but it doesn't seem help. BTW, UVA don't like international applicants, do they?

Yes I think high gpas are important to them. Look at their median - 3.85 or something like that. Pretty impressive.

I don't think there's any basis for saying they don't like international applicants.

Almost every international applicant was waitlisted last cycle, as per LSN
