I just got $$. Nice turnaround since I was accepted about a week ago. The e-mail mentioned they won't negotiate that number. Is that true?

Not part of financial aid, and you can't, nor would you want to, get one as a 1L (per ABA rules). But yes, if you get one, for 2L or 3L they are awesome.
