Does everybody get this same "priority waitlist" email? Just by reading the last few posts this whole "priority waitlist that we offer to a very small, select group of applicants" doesn't seem to be very accurate. Hmm...

You're not alone-- I was priority waitlisted last night as well.

I just got regular waitlisted! so not everyone gets priority waitlisted!

You're not alone-- I was priority waitlisted last night as well.

Also priority waitlisted here. Pretty sure it's different than the other waitlists since it included an invite to admitted students day.

I was cautiously excited but now I feel pessimistic about getting in.

Can someone post the language that indicates priority waitlist? I'm assuming it's clear as day, but just want to make certain I'm not part of this special waitlist

I don't think I read about a priority WL happening last year on here. This seems kind of like the peer school that came to me last year and said, "you are waitlisted - why do you want to go here....ok if you still are sure you would consider going here call us at the end of the week."

Hello - this is Ethan Rosenzweig, the dean of Admission and Financial Aid. Just a quick update on this Friday afternoon.

Admission Decisions: All but a very small group of admission decisions have been communicated. Unfortunately, for this last group, the system controlling my email account and document files has malfunctioned. I never thought of myself as unlikely, but for some reason, my computer decided not to cooperate.

If we cannot resolve the situation by the end of business today, I will send this last group decisions from my personal email account this weekend.

If you have not received your decision by Monday, please let me know, and we will assist to re-send the decision.

There seems to be two different waitlist pools. The gist of the priority waitlist email states "I would sincerely appreciate your joining our priority waitlist that we offer to a very small, select group of applicants. This will hopefully allow us a chance to admit you with the maximum scholarship possible shortly after our deposit deadline of April 19."

I think there's only one waitlist, unless someone actually has one that says "priority". Otherwise, I think everyone got a WL letter with language about April 19 deposits deadline, "very select", available scholarships after the deposit deadline, and $250 deposit refund.

Anybody receive anything different?

I have everything above besides the phrase "very select." No idea if that means I'm on a lower-tiered wait list or if the language just changed slightly in the process of sending out the emails.

Yes, mine does say priority, as I posted above in quotes. I have confirmed with another student that they received the "priority" one as well.

Yep... no mention of "priority" or "maximum scholarship" in my email. Rather disappointing.
