any idea if you can switch your application from FT to PT program after you've gone complete but before hearing a decision? Do you just send a letter to Law Admissions in the form of a LOCI?

Not sure, the best option is probably to just give the admissions office a call. If anyone could tell you, it would be them

Has anyone tried negotiating scholarship yet? When do you think the best time to do this is? I know the seat deposit (for non-scholly) is April 15th. After that date I assume a ton of scholarship $ will open up. So, April 20th? Or should I send in now? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I sent in a request and they said they're going to review scholarships again beginning in April.

This happened to me as well, the admissions department said that they would "note my interest" and then get back to me after the initial scholarship acceptance date

Why? I was able to access mine tonight.

I was happy to see I got some. I mean, I have no real savings or assets, but I've never been able to get need-based aid. Maybe I've been overly pessimistic about this stuff.

Just recieved my accpetance letter on Friday... went to my junk mail box so i almost tossed it aside as spam!

For those of you who got scholarship offers, when did you recieve them? GW was my top reach school, and i'm still kind of shocked I got in, but I don't know how the hell I'm going to pay for it, so I'm now praying for a financial miracle.

What do you think the chances are of a congress approving an $82,000 personal stimulus. I'm too big to fail!

I'd like to hear the answer to this too. I was accepted on Friday and just got access to the accepted students page but haven't heard anything about merit $$$. Does that mean I'm not being offered any or does that notice come later/separate?

I am going to ask for an extension on my scholarship from april 1 to the 15th. I told them that i would be in DC for the national mock trial tourny on -april 12-14. I wanted to set up a time to tour the law school. Thoughts, will they give me the extension?

In the meanwhile I was wondering what you all made of the mysterious "Section 15" ?? (displayed under admitted student info)

Im super intrigued by the possibility of keeping my college lifestyle throughout law school, read: sleep in til noon/skip class on fridays...
but am I missing the point? (I normally do) Maybe some current students could chime in on this?
THIS.

haha I was thinking the EXACT same thing...

Does anyone have any reasonable hotel suggestions? I currently have a motel 6 booked, but it's about 45 mins away with public transportation. Any close hotels for around $100 per night?

Use Hotwire guys! I got a Westin a few blocks from the White House for 99 a night Thanksgiving Weekend. You can't see the hotel name, but you can see the stars and location. Hotwire is perfect for something like this.
