Nope, no email (at least not yet). Just the call. She said they're mailing my packet today. I'm in DC...I hope they sent it Priority. I don't think I can wait the week or so it might take for First Class.ManOfTheMinute wrote:Bahahah thanks, but I'm still calling it a mistake.az21833 wrote:congrats all! i wonder how MOTM got in there with all these nov and dec completes. maybe beacuse hes a BADASS

No email for me either... (also no status checker change, for those of you keeping track at home.)ManOfTheMinute wrote:Bahahah thanks, but I'm still calling it a mistake.az21833 wrote:congrats all! i wonder how MOTM got in there with all these nov and dec completes. maybe beacuse hes a BADASS

also, no status checker/anything update
ALTHOUGH, yesterday they manually changed my email address from being in all capitalized letters to all lower case letters. Read into that what you will.

Doesn't SLS typically do status updates on Fridays?ManOfTheMinute wrote:Yeah I'm in SoCal so I'm hopinggg for Friday. The status checker changes to decision letter sent -- but only after you've gotten the call or received the e-mail.ManOfTheMinute wrote:Yeah I'm in SoCal so I'm hopinggg for Friday. Huge congrats to all the new admits!
My hands are shaking just seeing the good news thus far!
I think I would embarass myself on the phone with Dean Deal if she ever decided to call me.
The West Coaster within me is screaming SLS so it would be a dream come true if I ever get admitted.
Here's to more movement over the next week!

Congrats to everyone who just got in!
Starting to look suspiciously like a 3.8 GPA floor.
Just as well--East Coast is the Beast Coast.

Last year, several URMs below 3.8, and also non-URM people:
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/hart4heisman - 3.65
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/brewst - 3.45
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/AspiringAcademic - 3.7... but also a PhD
It seems like most of the low-GPA acceptances come later in the cycle, so I guess there could be a temporary 3.8 floor

if there is an lsat "floor", its way below your score. I believe they are more concerned with low GPA's (as in, they won't admit them)az21833 wrote:what about lsat floor for non-urm non-insane softs

jimbo89 seems like an outlier: non-traditional, "bi-racial minority", "extenuating circumstances to explain GPA/upward trend", and "other things" make me think that he might be special. But you're right about the others (though brewst did not specify non-URM)--probably just a 3.8ish floor to avoid being held.ManOfTheMinute wrote:http://lawschoolnumbers.com/jimbo89 - Sure he's non-trad, but 3.5 is well below 3.8dcg2120 wrote:Congrats to everyone who just got in!

Since MOTM did this for me:KTG wrote:I have a 4.08 but a low lsat, thinking there is a floor of some sort as i haven't heard anythingso sad
There were several people a couple years back accepted with 167 or lower.
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/thecornballer
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/ElMargarita
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/usonesinbetween
Two in March, one in December. Plus, 4.08 is a really high number.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
