Just got a call from Dean Ingram, I'm in! Unless it was some sort of sick practical joke. The number that came up on my phone was listed as "unknown", but she said they will be sending a packet soon in the mail.

75thish stats. Just saying that there have been people who got status checker update first but I think you're probably right, seems like now people get calls first.JXander wrote:Maybe your numbers were through the roof and you were essentially an auto-admit.BigZuck wrote:Status checker first for me. But that was back in the first wave.JXander wrote:I think we've established that it's always a phone call and never a status check confirmation.TEXAS91 wrote:Does the phone call or the status checker come first?

What class did you sit in on?JXander wrote:Got to sit in a class while I was there, too. Never been more excited to attend law school. The camaraderie among the students is unbelievable and the class was fantastic.

Congrats! Maybe the call was unlisted because it was from Dean Ingram'shobie2515 wrote:Just got a call from Dean Ingram, I'm in! Unless it was some sort of sick practical joke. The number that came up on my phone was listed as "unknown", but she said they will be sending a packet soon in the mail.

Thanks rabbit and everyone else (assuming this isn't some elaborate catfish scheme). Apparently I won't qualify for merit based aid so I'll have a tough decision to make between lower ranked regional schools such as bama and uga if they pony up some cash. Regardless though I feel blessed to have this decision. To the others still waiting, keep the faith!

Neurotic here. I was accepted at the end of January (around the 23rd?) and was told I would have a scholarship offer in about 2 weeks. I haven't received it yet. I am on more of a time crunch than many applicants because I have to commit to whether I'll be going to the NU AJD program by 3/15/13.
How long should I wait until I reach out to them?

Call them now.. if you have at least 168 LSAT and above 3.6 GPA.. should should get at least $12K per year.fruitoftheloom wrote:Neurotic here. Seems like you should have recieved it by now. Mine was mailed I think 9 days after being admitted and most others had around the same turnaround. I dont think it'd hurt at all giving them a call this week especially since you have a good reason for needing to know asap.fruitoftheloom wrote:Neurotic here. I know the feeling! I emailed financial aid and they said if I retake the LSAT in June and score in the merit aid range (168 i think?) I can tell them and they will re-evaluate me for merit based aid. Hope this helps!hobie2515 wrote:Thanks rabbit and everyone else (assuming this isn't some elaborate catfish scheme). Yea I was pretty stoked and petrified to retake the LSAT haha. I would email them too just to double check. The financial aid office did say it depends on how much aid they have left, but it is worth a shot.JXander wrote:Whoa! Yeah...it might be a good investment.FallingHigher wrote: Yea I was pretty stoked and petrified to retake the LSAT haha. I would email them too just to double check. The financial aid office did say it depends on how much aid they have left, but it is worth a shot.
But another part of me just gets queasy thinking about it. I don't know if I could put myself through that torment again.

With literally zero downside why wouldn't you take the test again?

That's my view... but I also freak out because I am paranoid and think that I could bomb it and they withdraw my offer of admissionsBigZuck wrote:With literally zero downside why wouldn't you take the test again?

If they accept me I am most definitely taking it again. The same is probably true if I get WL. I want to be in Austin next fall so barring a full on rejection it is the June LSAT for me.BigZuck wrote:With literally zero downside why wouldn't you take the test again?
