Any way I can predict how much I'd get for Year 2 and 3? (Can safely assume it was my 2011 income, not my parents' income/assets, that screwed me).

It was likely your numbers that led to the lack of an award. Don't expect anything in years 2 or 3.

I haven't received anything yet. If we get a letter with an offer can we assume that we weren't chosen as finalists for the full ride scholarships (that is, if I get a letter with a normal offer can I assume the Furman is a no go)?

Neither have I, both for finaid or Furman.

I would think that they're two separate processes since the Furman has its own committee, but who knows.

Yeah, that's what I figured as well. It's weird that we haven't received anything yet.

Are people still receiving scholarships in real time? Or are people just posting what they received 30 min+ ago in their aid email? (Yes, I'm asking because I'm more or less praying that mine is still on it's way even though it's well past 5pm NY EST)

People who are being considered for the big name schollys have not gotten a letter so far. I'm guessing this does NOT mean you won't get anything. Even if you don't get your scholly, they still award you some money after your interview/essay/whatever you're doing to get your scholarship.

Actually, tbf, everything is filled out except for my non-custodial parent section. Naturally, this is going to be the biggest pain in the ass section to fill out and I've been waiting for said parent to get their shit together taxwise so I can do it.

I remember reading that you have to email NYU and then they'd open up a tab on FAAPS. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Didn't bring my laptop with me to NY and email wouldn't open on my phone. Am paying $10 for 15 mins of hotel internet but it's worth it! Got $50,000 as well. Congrats everyone!

Looks like NYU has seemingly done away with the 25-30K offers they used to make to lower end admits, and put all that into larger scholarships to reel in the big fish. It's a bold strategy (Cotton), let's see how it pays off for them.

Also, heartened to read how much they keep pushing PI. Clearly, that's a real focus and source of pride for the school.
