Sorry about this! I am sure you have some excellent options. Every day someone posts a new DLS, I anxiously log into my status checker thinking I'll have been included in the batch of rejections. Late-Oct UR, so far radio silence from Stanford.gatorapplicant wrote:status switched to DLS today. oh well, fantasizing about stanford was fun while it lasted...

Does anyone who received calls remember if Dean Deal called from a blocked vs. a Palo Alto area code number?

Sorry to all the DLS people. When did you go complete? Anyone complete in December? Good luck everywhere else!

Do we think acceptances have stopped for a while so they can keep on trucking with the dings, or has SLS historically continued trickling out acceptances throughout February?

DLS today. Pretty bummed. Was hoping for a waitlist at least. Sent app in early Oct. but the Dean's cert took longer.

Yikes, sorry to hear about all the DLS today. Still radio silence here, submitted late October, complete since late November.
On last year's LSN, it looks like February was mainly rejection month, with only a couple people accepted. Then there was a small wave of acceptances in early March, all for people who submitted in the autumn (Oct, Nov, & Dec). This was followed by a steady stream of rejections throughout March, with a couple of acceptances from autumn and winter submitters.

Sorting by decision on the Stanford LSN page is a really depressing endeavor. There are a few bright spots, but soooo many rejections, especially this time of year. Le sigh.splbagel wrote:On last year's LSN, it looks like February was mainly rejection month, with only a couple people accepted. After browsing through the Stanford thread from last year, the consensus seemed to be that DLSs were sent in chronological order.
I'm at 11/4 here with no movement. Hopefully those of us at or before this date are safe for at least a few more weeks.

Is there anyone else who hasn't been rejected but whose application went complete in late September?

Re: Stanford c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Everyone who applied before December and does not get a rejection in the next few weeks is probably in Stanford's equivalent of the "hold" pile and will hear a decision come mid- to late- March. Dean Deal talks about her informal application sorting mechanism on her blog at some point.
Edit- I would guess around December. The date cutoff isn't a sure thing on my part.
