The LSAC website lists the situations under which an update report will be sent to all your schools free of charge, one of them was an updated transcript, fwiw.

So, I completely new to these boards and haven't followed the conversation super-close, meaning this question was almost definitely asked and answered already (consider it my excuse to say hi and introduce myself :p) but has anyone who isn't ED heard anything, even grade requests, so far? And, beyond not finding out until later, does not applying ED hurt our chances? (I'm thinking along the lines of, less spots available).

Yup, some people, including myself, are still waiting for any kind of a decision. Just looked at LSN applicant info from previous cycles and it seems that ED decisions usually take roughly 3 weeks to come out from start to finish. This year decisions started coming out on 12/5 so I'm guessing the rest of the EDers will find out around next Monday or Tuesday.
EDIT: Upon further review, it appears that they're not in office for a while after Christmas, so tomorrow seems awfully likely to be the day.

I applied ED in October and haven't heard anything yet whatsoever, bluenoser. Hopefully tomorrow!

You are talking about RD applications, not ED applications, correct? I think your post was misunderstoodbluenoser wrote:So, I completely new to these boards and haven't followed the conversation super-close, meaning this question was almost definitely asked and answered already (consider it my excuse to say hi and introduce myself :p) but has anyone who isn't ED heard anything, even grade requests, so far? Correct, although if ED are going to be done in the next few days, then I imagine RD decisions will be after they're all done with. I'm assuming ED's aren't exactly expectd to reject their offers, eh?nametaken wrote:You are talking about RD applications, not ED applications, correct? Can any Columbia ED admits shed some light on when ASW is?
I want to coordinate NYU and Columbia ASWs, assuming I get into Columbia RD as well.

Why would you assume? I just don’t really understand why people ask when ASWs are for schools they aren’t even into. I mean, wouldn’t it be better to wait until you actually know to start planning this?Hawkeye Pierce wrote:Can any Columbia ED admits shed some light on when ASW is?

I'm going to go to NYU's, and because CLS is also in NYC, doesn't it seem wise to do two in one trip? Even if I don't get into CLS, then hey, I already chose an ASW date that works fine with me for NYU, so no big deal. If the weekends line up, like they have in the past, then it's nice to lock in a cheaper flight.

Yeah, I get it now. My common sense smarts are obviously not as keen as my book smarts. I was thinking that NYU only had one ASW. Now it makes sense. Good idea. I’m just a little afraid to start booking flights and whatnot without more info from the schools.Hawkeye Pierce wrote:No wayTiago Splitter wrote:Turns out Columbia and nyu are in the same city.AmandaPB wrote:Why would you assume? Me? No, I am. Totally. Just waiting for the rest of my schools to respond to fully weigh the options.vincanity1 wrote:So you're not sold on Palo Alto?

3 more hours to go. Any luck, fellow remaining EDers?

I'm not applying ED, but they're definitely in the office because I just received a response from them concerning something in relation to my own file. Good luck to those waiting!username08 wrote:3 more hours to go. Any luck, fellow remaining EDers?

Nope.. Was hoping for a Christmas miracle. When do they open back up after the holiday? Tuesday?username08 wrote:3 more hours to go. Any luck, fellow remaining EDers?
Wednesday. That'll be the day. Surely Wednesday.

Hmm...I looked at past LSN dates and it seemed that every year there was a huge time gap in decisions mailed between 12/23 and the first week of January. Pretty much all the ED decisions were out by the 23rd. Still a few hours left here so let's keep our fingers crossed!suspicious android wrote:Nope.. Was hoping for a Christmas miracle. Yeah, I was thinking this year's timeline was different, that there was only one person notified on the 23rd, but there were also deferals on that day. So could be today I guess. Although deferals/rejections on the day before Christmas eve is pretty shitty.username08 wrote:

This is so bizarre. I'm really starting to wonder if ED will even hear back by January.

Re: Columbia c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
And yet another day goes by...
I know LSN is a very small sample, but here is a list of the latest decision dates for EDers in previous cycles.
2010: 12/23
2009: 12/23
2008: 12/20
2007: 12/20
2006: 12/22
2005: 12/23
Sooooo...I'm assuming this means they're just behind schedule compared to past years and that they'll be in the office next week, unless they really are planning on dragging this process into January.

If I were you guys I would call the office before it closes in 5 minutes, because when I called a while back they promised a decision before christmas weekend.
