Waitlisted by e-mail.
I guess now I can bitch about Minnesota weather like everyone else who doesn't get into a school in a cold region. But I won't, because people that bitch about cold weather are pathetic.

Waitlisted as well, with 161/3.4. Was expecting a rejection, so this is decent news.ScrabbleChamp wrote:Same. Waitlisted with 159/3.67.TurkeyDay wrote:Waitlist email today with a 161/3.61. I'm shocked. Thought I was an auto-ding. Flattered, though

Out-of-state, combat vet, 8 years w/e. My cycle has been all over the place, though. In at Iowa (highest ranked so far), dinged at lower T2's, a T3, and a T4.Papa Smurf wrote:I have a 161/3.58 (upward trend), could you guys expand a bit on your application? Trust me, it's only because my gf is set on Minneapolis for our settling grounds. I'd much prefer Boulder for school and Denver for work after... But, alas, the girl usually wins, and I'd prefer not to go to St. Thomas if I can (though the full-ride still sounds really good).Gotti wrote:I think I'm going to withdraw relatively soon....Just got into GW! Edit: Please don't make William Mitchell comments. I refuse to pay an extra $60k to go there over UST.

I don't know anything about midwest schools besides UIUC Uchi and NU, honestly, so I wouldn't make any comments regardless. Re: Minnesota 2011
congrats!! I'm probably going to ASW on April 8...only thing that's really stopping me is T14 acceptances, which I probably won't get. I'm just hoping for NU and I'm set.PomasThynchon wrote:Lol we heard from GW the same day! maybe I'll see you there! Still haven't heard from UMN. Offered the Walter J. Trogner Merit Scholarship!! Full tuition granted for three years, as long as I keep up +2.5 GPA. This certainly pushes UMN up my list of choices.

Not for nothing, Chris, but unless you're planning on marrying this girl don't base your decision on where she wants to settle. Remember you'll be the one with the J.D. and its corresponding debt and salary. Just my humble opinion after seeing a lot of friends get screwed over in graduate/professional school.
