Pissed because I'm in Nicaragua without my laptop containing my username for SMU's website. Congrats to all you who got in.

Can't you just look up the email they sent you with your username and password?

my laptop removes the emails from the server when it downloads them. the email is only on the laptop, which is in Austin, TX, not in San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua.

Maybe you can contact a friend and get them to look for you?

Hey, just call the school and tell them what's up. They will likely verify it's you by your SSN and then just tell you over the phone. Worst they can say is no.

I am that excited. Just trying to temper it. Right now I've got it narrowed down to 2. UT or SMU. The decision will be made by the scholarship committee at SMU so I'm not gonna act too pumped until I've heard from them.

In my why SMU, I wrote about how I want to work in TX, but don't think I have the numbers for UT, and Baylor sounds too hard. Do you think that was a mistake? At the time I just wanted to be honest and come across as genuine, but now I'm second guessing myself.

1. Last Wed. they rejected the people well below their index threshold
2. On Thurs. they held people that were borderline
3. Fri. they "made a decision" (i.e. status date changes) on the presumptive admits
4. This morning they released those initial decisions.
5. They are currently reviewing people in the middle.

If your date hasn't changed, it just means that they have yet to even look at your file. When it changes, it means that they have made a decision and entered it into the system....they then release them all at the same time....like this morning, everyone's status changed to admitted simultaneously.
