That's pretty ridiculous, but I'm sorry to say it's something of a relief to me to see someone with similar numbers get the WL.splitmuch wrote:Kabuo wrote:Lol, waitlisted. Me too, makes me think its more a late app splitters thing then I totally F'd up my app. I had tons of commmunity service stuff too (that I'm assuming Nd slightly cares about) and a pretty compelling why ND.
This and my GULC WL pretty much means its WUSTL for me. You gonna be there too?

You mean you don't think Columbia's accepting me? Yeah, looks like WUSTL. Trying to be optimistic about the UMich WL, but I just reread the 12 page thread from last year, and it's hard to be optimistic instead of realistic.

Well, not unless you think im getting off my Harvard hold lol. And Yeah, I have 6 T14 WLs that I'm going to wait out but I highly doubt its happening and I probably wouldn't go to GULC or Cornell for example, for sticker over WUSTL. I guess I have a semi legit chance on my NW hold, but I'd say at this point its 98% sure I'll be in the Lou.

And plus one for me as well, Late application splitter, wrote a why ND. Guess it is Illinois for me, no way ND lets me of the waitlist and gives me 30,000 a year, do you think?splitmuch wrote:+1Kabuo wrote:Email for me.

My non-TLS friend got the WL today too. 160, unsure of GPA.
Wonder what not getting this round of WLs means? A ding?

I got WL today also. I didn't write why ND essay. Can I or should I write some extra essays and send it to them or should I just wait and do nothing? ND is my top choice, and I really want to get into the school regardless of $.

Re: Notre Dame 2014 applicants
Write a LOCI and turn it into a WND? Your best bet is to really emphasize what's unique about Notre Dame, and it's not hard because, unlike most schools, there's actually a lot. Sitting on your hands and doing nothing is pretty much the worst thing you can do. Good luck!cmu2011 wrote:I got WL today also. I didn't write why ND essay. +1. 66k. Don't know if it's enough to keep me from working for the next year and saving up, but maybe they'll let me defer.cdsj wrote:In today with money via e-mail.

Thanks for the reply. Should I mail it to them or just send an email to the admission office?

Don't suppose any of you who got in today were splitters or could pm me your numbers? I withdrew from the WL, I'm just morbidly curious.

Re: Notre Dame 2014 applicants
Hi all!
I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd ever even be WL at ND but here I am!
I'm a 3.5/165 non-URM, sent in my app 1/10 and got a WL response on Friday (4/8) via email.
I sent a very nice it's-almost-April-1st-what's-the-deal email near the end of March, and got a generic response back, but then on Friday, WL.
ND is my number one choice, and I said so in my Why ND essay, so I'm not sure what else to put into a continued interest letter. I'm in California, so I can't throw together a quick trip anytime soon. I've also given seat deposits to AU and Pepperdine but...here's to hoping about ND!
Any inspiring thoughts or advice for writing my continued interest letter? Thanks!

Re: Notre Dame 2014 applicants
anybody else still waiting (mid-January complete here)? I already sent in a seat deposit elsewhere but am still waiting on three schools.......one of which is ND (one of my top choices). Just curious to see if there are still other people waiting beyond the 12 week mark

Re: Notre Dame 2014 applicants
I just nosed around the ND website for 5 minutes more than I should have looking for tuition info. (Found tuition for the LLM program but not JD.) I'm sure I could dig up my admitted student packet, but anyone know off the top of their head what tuition's at right now? I'm thinking 50-52...

It's not that much. It is only like 43k. I figure 175-200k would cover everything for the three years depending on how lavish a lifestyle you choose to have. Best of luck to those still waiting. Oh and I think all the info you are looking for is in the admitted students section of the NDLS webpage. No one has any reports on how things went for Admitted Students Day? I am in stuck in the middle of the pacific right now and couldn't attend.descartesb4thehorse wrote:I just nosed around the ND website for 5 minutes more than I should have looking for tuition info.
