I'm expecting a rejection any day now, so I'd actually welcome a waitlisting email instead.

Harvard really seems to be trying to up their GPAs. There are a whole bunch of waitlists on LSN right around me in territory that was solid green last year.

Re: Held By Harvard Club - 2010
yikes. I submitted in Dec., held 4/2, 171/3.3 approximately, HYP undergrad. I do have pretty awesome softs (pm me for details) and am from an underrepresented geographic area (which probably means absolutely nothing). I've been preparing myself for rejection since I applied, but still, this is starting to freak me out.

I think there are several people who were held with <50% LSAT and/or GPA and good softs. Thinking our batch comes on Monday

I fit this bill. Aside from the good softs part.lta wrote:I think there are several people who were held with <50% LSAT and/or GPA and good softs.
Also, can someone tell me how Harvard prefers to recieve their LOCI? Mail? E-mail? Also, who did you address yours to? I'm sure its already been asked and answered but I don't feel like looking.

Snail mail with a self-addressed postcard so that you can be certain they received it/added it to your file.Ragged wrote:I fit this bill. Aside from the good softs part.lta wrote:I think there are several people who were held with <50% LSAT and/or GPA and good softs.

Self addressed post-card? Can't you just priority track it?

You can, but there's still no way to tell that an admissions officer added it to your file unless you include the postcard. The status checker doesn't update after sending a LOCI.Ragged wrote:Thanks.legalnoeagle wrote:Snail mail with a self-addressed postcard so that you can be certain they received it/added it to your file.Ragged wrote:I fit this bill. Went complete back in October, got held in January, finally got the WL today. My numbers are 3.72 with a 167, so I'm not too optimistic, haha. I honestly feel like my military experience is the only thing that got me on the WL in the first place. Good luck to everyone else!

Hey y'all, waitlisted on Saturday morning (the final decision I had pending), withdrew this morning. I really appreciated the camaraderie here during the cycle, and I hope to see lots of you get in eventually.
Best of luck

Re: Held By Harvard Club - 2010
still waiting here... held in Feb, submitted Nov, and took Dec. LSAT
I actually had one of the vice deans at HLS talk to JR on my behalf
to push my application (long story on connection)... it was interesting
to hear what JR thought about my application
although I'm sure it prob won't make much difference in the end

I might ride it, but I'm not sure my blood pressure can handle it for long... It'll be a function of how organized I am and how much I already have set up at UChi...
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
