From ED or from a regular Held app?

Did you sent any LOCI?

Congrats - Reserve is not bad!

Until now, I was frustrated over the fact that many more Feb. holds were hearing back then March holds. If there are only 4 more days left, how can they possibly give all of us March holds a holistic review?

But then it occurred to me that perhaps they are reviewing ALL HOLDS together... it's just that many more were held in Feb. than in March... and the proportions of people hearing back are a reflection of that.

Leaning towards the 2nd explanation right now.

Or perhaps decisions have already been made and they are just releasing them in a certain order.

Honestly, I doubt we're really getting any sort of "holistic review" again. They probably have holds sorted in some way, probably by numbers, or whatever their priority for the new class is.

I kind of think it would be too much trouble for them to release decisions in the slow trickle they are if everything's already decided. I'd think that if all decisions were made, they wouldn't want to deal with people calling + sending in additional updates at the last minute.

My guess is that they are holding onto some applications in order to round out their class in some way.

I tend to agree with your argument. AdComms are not sadistic evil people who enjoy seeing the slow twinkling death that us holds are feeling. if our fate has been decided, there would've been a massive reserve e-mail that would've gone out.

Although something tells me that not all of us holds will be notified by April 22nd

Hmmm... That seems a bit off. Maybe you should call them or go there in person and see whats up.

Mmmmm. I dunno. Probably best to just inquire. That does seem like a long time not to hear anything. I dont think they would do that if there wasnt something wrong.

if you read through the thread then you would see that, indeed, it is quite normal. but i guess it wouldn't hurt to check.

Remember that the status check doesn't move past Complete.

(For what it's worth, applied 10/25, held 3/26. They like moving slowly)

This goes back to the whole "what's the difference between forgotten and held" question. I went complete in January and was held in March. No idea why some are held and others aren't when we're all getting decisions around the same time...

Pretty sure admissions arn't as systematic as we give them credit for. They probably forgot to send a hold e-mail or something. You guys will be fine. ^^
