I have to say without a doubt that CLS' process has been the most non-transparent, frustrating one for me this cycle.

What does transparent v non transparent in the context of law school admissions? How is CLS better or worse than anyone else?

I was referring to the fact that CLS' status check is basically useless after you go complete and their sudden switch-up of sending emails v.s. VCEs for decisions in the middle of the cycle was unexpected. I was previously held at HLS as well, but at least HLS has been steadily giving answers to their holds whereas I think CLS is really holding onto us until April 22nd. Again, this is just my experience as I've obviously only applied to a limited number of schools.

My favorite part was where they pissed off a million candidates by holding them all at once. I guess that was just a TLS phenomenon, but it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Harvard did the exact same thing. Honestly there are bigger Columbia criticisms than that. That's not even a legitimate complaint. The status checker is the worst though.

Okay so we are halfway through april. I applied fairly late. Is it possible to not hear anything by the end of the month? Or i am i guaranteed to hear back from all of my schools that maintain this end of april dealine. I am like if they forgot about some of you guys from november, how are they gonna find time to reject me when i was late Jan.

CLS will waitlist you by the end of the month no matter what, according to their website, if they don't give you a decision. If you want to call at some point, they should let you know if they sent something out and you missed it.


I was 11/2 forgotten, held late March, waiting for waitlist so that I can withdraw.
