I have no realistic chance at being admitted, but the silence is killing me.... I just want a sense of movement, it doesn't look like they have even dinged anyone this week. I wonder if they are just re-evaluating all of the apps one last time since they have the February LSAT scores now and if ASW has slowed this process down?

I'm sure both of those things are coming into play. Expect a busy week either this week or next (not solely positive, I'd guess), but I'm sure they had to take some downtime to consolidate all the new info from late apps and Feb LSATs. Compound that with ASW and we really shouldn't be too surprised this week was slow

that has been me on many days
I didn't expect much today given the ASW, but I think there will be big action next week.

while i have reservations about questioning the magic eight ball, I doubt very much that they would have three consecutive weeks of no action. That would mean nothing substantial until the 23.MagicEightBall wrote:Very doubtful.rseaney wrote:jace8819 wrote:I have no realistic chance at being admitted, but the silence is killing me.... They may send out something over the weekend?
I'm noticing that some schools are sending out e-mails irregularly

Agreed, good or bad, there will be news. Hopefully good...rseaney wrote:while i have reservations about questioning the magic eight ball, I doubt very much that they would have three consecutive weeks of no action. For those who are relying on Feb scores, whats a reasonable time to expect JS1s?

That would be new, I don't think Harvard's done anything over the weekend this cycle (idk about previous cycles).dreamerchic19 wrote:They may send out something over the weekend?I'm noticing that some schools are sending out e-mails irregularly

I might be being neurotic here right now but is JS1 a good sign usually? or is it like "okay you're totally borderline but let me make sure before I waitlist/reject you permanently."

It's a good sign. About 70 percent of people who get one are accepted and the overwhelming majority of those who aren't accepted don't get one.esther0123 wrote:I might be being neurotic here right now but is JS1 a good sign usually? or is it like "okay you're totally borderline but let me make sure before I waitlist/reject you permanently."

In addition, you must have an interview to be accepted. No-one goes straight from Complete-->JS2, it's always Complete-->JS1-->JS2. So definitely a good sign.drawstring wrote:It's a good sign. Okay so I'm sure this has been asked already but too many pages to go through... When do we think waitlist notifications might go out?

Is a JS1 a formality or is it a make or break interview? My interviewer hadn't looked at my application prior to our interview so it seems weird if they would reject or waitlist you off a 10-15 min interview that is a bit rushed and doesn't represent the entire application....
Essentially I want to ask if any of you know how a js1 factors in and how they usually judge it.

Realistically, we don't know. It's definitely not just a formality.hellomellow wrote:Is a JS1 a formality or is it a make or break interview? I think it factors into their overall process. A really bad interview could hurt you pretty badly. A not great interview could hurt you a bit or not. A good interview could help you a bit or not. A really great interview could help you a lot.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
