Any idea how long my financial aid status will be "final stages of review" before I get my award?

Is it an appeal or original award? either way, shoot a quick email to admissions, they are great with getting you an answer quickly.

yeah, you need a NetID to submit it

This may be a dumb question, and possibly one that has already been asked and answered, but does anyone have an idea if NYU matches offers from lower t14 schools? Who does NYU consider a peer school?

From any interaction with them it's clear that they consider Columbia and Chicago their peers, but providing an offer from MVPB or even DN couldn't hurt (though I wouldn't like your chances). I wouldn't bother with Cornell or Georgetown.

This may be an obvious question, but I'll ask anyway. So, my initial award letter states "please note that the review process for all scholarship grants is now complete." I read that and figured their decision was final and that it would be no use to let them know I was offered 45k from Chicago in the hope of negotiating.

The deadline for accepting the initial award is April 19. Any chance I could contact them, ask for an extension, and see if they'll up their offer given the Chicago money? Thanks!

Got a letter in the mail yesterday from the dean that was dated March 9th, with a NYU Law magazine. First item I've gotten since the BPE. Anyone else get this?

So, I was asked to submit an official appeal through NYU's finaid website, but was told that my request for an extension past 4/19 was denied. I did the appeal anyway, but unless they decide to match Chicago's offer by the end of the day on Monday, I guess the answer is "no."

Yeah, they should send you a faculty profile booklet in the coming weeks (I'm reading through mine right now).
